About this role: Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Technology Business Services Consultant who will serve as a strategic delivery leader responsible for driving large‑scale, complex data center migration programs and overseeing global capacity management initiatives. This role requires strong cross‑functional engagement across infrastructure engineering, application teams, platform owners, storage, compute, and network groups. The ideal candidate possesses a strong mix of business execution expertise, technology understanding, and the ability to influence and coordinate highly technical teams in a global environment.
In this role, you will:
- Lead cross functional teams to strategize, plan, and execute a variety of programs, services and initiatives
- Drive accountability for assigned initiatives, limit risk exposure, and create efficiencies as appropriate
- Review strategic approaches and effectiveness of support function and business performance
- Perform assessments through fact finding and data requiring creative approaches to solving complex issues, and develop appropriate solutions or recommendations
- Make decisions in highly complex and multifaceted situations requiring solid understanding of business group's functional area or products, facilitate decision making and issue resolution, and support implementation of developed solutions and plans
- Collaborate and consult with members of the Business Execution team and team leaders to drive strategic initiatives
- Influence, guide and lead less experienced Strategy and Execution staff within the group
Required Qualifications:
- 5+ years of Business Execution, Implementation, or Strategic Planning experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in business execution, Implementation, Strategic Planning, program management, or technology delivery leadership, preferably in large enterprise environments or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- Demonstrated success leading complex data center migration programs or equivalent large‑scale infrastructure transformations.
- Strong understanding of virtualization platforms, enterprise storage systems, and network infrastructure.
- Excellent ability to work with and influence highly technical teams across multiple domains.
- Experience working in a banking or financial services environment (preferred).
- The role requires hands‑on leadership experience working with and directing server build teams, provisioning engineers, and application migration workstreams, ensuring end‑to‑end readiness and successful execution across complex, large‑scale data center programs.
- Strong analytical, planning, problem‑solving, and organizational skills.
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to simplify technical details for diverse stakeholder groups.
- Ability to drive execution in a fast‑paced, highly regulated, and globally distributed environment
- Experience managing migrations using structured frameworks (wave planning, factory model, automated tooling).
- Exposure to cloud or hybrid cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Certification in PMP, Scrum Master, ITIL, or similar process frameworks.
- Working knowledge of capacity planning tools, infrastructure monitoring, and performance analytics.
- Strong negotiation and stakeholder management capabilities.
1. Program Leadership & Execution
- The candidate must have proven experience driving and coordinating server build, provisioning, and application migration teams as part of large‑scale data center transformation programs.
- Lead end‑to‑end execution of large‑scale data center migration programs, ensuring alignment with business goals, timelines, risk thresholds, and governance models.
- Establish program structures, define execution frameworks, and drive consistent delivery across multiple workstreams.
- Work closely with cross functional teams to develop detailed migration plans including readiness tracking, cutover planning, risk/issue management, and post‑migration validation.
- Drive global coordination across regions, time zones, and technology towers to orchestrate complex migrations.
2.Capacity Management
- Partner with capacity management teams to forecast, model, and optimize compute, storage, and network capacity across data centers.
- Ensure capacity risks are proactively identified and mitigated, influence demand planning and infrastructure scaling decisions.
- Support the development of dashboards, reporting models, and KPIs for capacity health and infrastructure readiness.
3.Cross‑Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Solution Architects, Capacity Managers, SMEs, and Migration Specialists to ensure technical alignment and smooth execution.
- Act as the central point of coordination across technology groups including server engineering, virtualization, storage, networking, application owners, and change management.
- Communicate program status, milestones, risks, and decisions to senior leadership and business partners.
4.Technology & Domain Expertise
- Apply strong understanding of:
- Virtualized environments (VMware/Hyper‑V/KVM or equivalent)
- Enterprise storage platforms (SAN, NAS, object storage)
- Network infrastructure (routing, switching, firewalls, DC networking concepts)
- Assess technical complexities, interdependencies, and system readiness to guide execution teams.
- Provide thought leadership on migration strategies, tooling, standards, and process improvements.
