About the Role
The People & Capability Engineering team designs, delivers, and supports secure, scalable, and accessible technology solutions that empower Mastercard employees worldwide. We are seeking a Lead Technical Program Manager to drive complex, cross-functional initiatives focused on platform modernization, service integration, and enhanced employee experience.
In this role, you will lead initiatives that advance Mastercard’s people technology ecosystem, collaborating closely with Engineering, Product, and Operations teams to ensure successful delivery.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide leadership and accountability for large-scale, multi-workstream projects ensuring alignment with business and technology strategies.
• Drive end-to-end delivery across multiple workstreams—facilitating collaboration, managing dependencies, and proactively mitigating risks and roadblocks.
• Partner with product management, developers, and stakeholders to identify data and functional requirements for new or enhanced systems.
• Define and deliver high-quality business and functional requirements to guide design, development, testing, and implementation.
• Manage project lifecycle activities including design, testing, deployment, and change management.
• Coordinate and participate in reviews, revisions, testing, documentation, and communication of product enhancements and new business opportunities.
• Ensure timely delivery of project milestones, including user testing and stakeholder communication.
• Coordinate stakeholder engagement and communication—providing regular updates, leading reviews, and ensuring transparent reporting of progress and outcomes.
• Prepare and deliver clear documentation, business and technical presentations, and product demos to cross-functional teams.
All About You
• Proven experience leading complex HR Technology programs, with a strong understanding of enterprise HR systems; Workday experience preferred
• Strong project and program management skills with a demonstrated ability to drive cross-functional teams to successful delivery and resolution.
• Exceptional leadership, relationship-building, collaboration and organizational skills; highly proactive and self-motivated.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with executives, subject matter experts, and vendors.
• Strategic and detail-oriented thinker with the ability to leverage data and analytics to drive business decisions.
• Experienced in managing agile projects, including sprint planning, backlog management, and iterative delivery.
• Proficient in Agile methodologies and tools such as Confluence, Rally or JIRA, Microsoft Project, and Excel.
• Comfortable working in a matrixed, global, and fast-paced environment, managing multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.
• Familiarity with technical concepts such as APIs, integrations, SSO, and software development lifecycles.

In line with Mastercard’s total compensation philosophy and assuming that the job will be performed in the US, the successful candidate will be offered a competitive base salary and may be eligible for an annual bonus or commissions depending on the role. The base salary offered may vary depending on multiple factors, including but not limited to location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Pay Ranges
O'Fallon, Missouri: $122,000 - $207,000 USD
