Lead Technical Program Manager – Core Services

The Lead Technical Program Manager (TPM) for Core Services is a strategic partner to the IT and engineering organizations, responsible for the vision, roadmap, and strategy of foundational services that power Allegion’s technology ecosystem. You will move beyond simple coordination to architecting program frameworks that ensure scalability, security, and performance. What you will do:

  • Strategic Roadmap Ownership: Lead the definition and evolution of the Core Services roadmap, ensuring technical debt, scalability, and innovation are balanced against business priorities.
  • Cross-Functional Orchestration: Drive alignment across high-impact, high-risk programs in a matrixed environment, proactively identifying and resolving "blind spot" dependencies that span multiple business units.
  • Influence & Decision Making: Drive critical product and architectural decisions by translating complex technical trade-offs into business impact for executive leadership.
  • Operational Excellence: Establish and institutionalize best practices, templates, and governance models to be used across Core Services and align with existing enterprise policies and frameworks.
  • Technical Leadership: Act as a subject matter expert in the software delivery lifecycle, guiding engineering teams through complex "build vs. buy" evaluations and system integrations.
  • Alignment & Transparency: Establish and lead a communication framework for Core Services, ensuring stakeholders at all levels have transparent visibility into program health, technical dependencies, and the 'why' behind prioritization decisions.
  • Mentorship: Provide direction, guidance and mentorship to product owners, clearly outlining strategies and goals and fostering a culture of continuous improvement and technical rigor.
  • Risk Mitigation: Move beyond "identifying issues" to predicting and neutralizing systemic risks before they impact delivery timelines.
