JOB TITLE: Lead System Engineering

DUTIES: Responsible for translating the core architecture for business requirements into the final technical solution through functional, performance, and reliability analysis using engineering models and techniques, primarily through software development throughout the vertical stack. Define designs. Provide technical enablement for application components and subsystems for an application. Drive important design decisions for development team. Contribute to design and implementation of cloud solutions which are secure, scalable, resilient, monitored, auditable and cost optimized. Design and develop solutions for Azure migrations and transformation tools. Migration of existing platforms and applications to Azure. Automation of cloud-based infrastructure deployments and maintenance. Build, manage and maintain tools for deployment, monitoring and operations. Evaluate and recommend tools, technologies and processes to ensure the highest quality and performance is achieved. Focus on scalability, security and availability of all infrastructure and processes. Identify and address infrastructure deficiencies, availability gaps, and performance bottlenecks. Serve as escalation for T2-T3 cloud infrastructure support. Determine technical feasibility of solutions for business requirements. Collaborate with peer organizations, product delivery teams, and support organizations on technical issues and provide guidance. Utilize Microsoft Azure, AWS, Agile, Waterfall, Linux, and Windows. Apply experience with Azure core cloud technologies in a high traffic production setting. Apply experience in application migrations to cloud using native patterns. Utilize core Azure cloud technologies including Azure DevOps, VMSS, Vnet, Azure Load balancer, Azure Application gateway, Azure Private Link, Cosmos DB, Azure Monitor/Application Insights, AKS, Azure Cache, Event Hub, and Azure Functions. Build cloud automation/orchestration solutions with technologies including Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible, Chef, and Puppet. Design and implement highly available cloud/Hybrid Cloud network solutions. Build CICD technologies including GitHub, Maven, Jenkins, and Nexus. Apply experience with performance tuning in a cloud environment. Design and implement traffic management using Akamai CDN, Nginx, and hardware load balancers. Analyze and report using Dynatrace, ElasticStack, and PowerBi. Architect, implement, and manage monitoring solutions for production cloud environments. Apply experience with open-source cloud agnostic technologies including Docker, Kubernetes, Ansible, and Terraform. Program solutions using Python and Linux shell scripting.
REQUIREMENTS: Requires a Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Engineering or Computer Science and 5 years progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or 5 years progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in a related occupation utilizing Microsoft Azure, AWS, Agile, Waterfall, Linux, and Windows; applying experience with Azure core cloud technologies in a high traffic production setting; applying experience in application migrations to cloud using native patterns; utilizing core Azure cloud technologies including Azure DevOps, VMSS, Vnet, Azure Load balancer, Azure Application gateway, Azure Private Link, Cosmos DB, Azure Monitor/Application Insights, AKS, Azure Cache, Event Hub, and Azure Functions; building cloud automation/orchestration solutions with technologies including Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible, Chef, and Puppet; designing and implementing highly available cloud/Hybrid Cloud network solutions; building CICD technologies including GitHub, Maven, Jenkins, and Nexus; applying experience with performance tuning in a cloud environment; designing and implementing traffic management using Akamai CDN, Nginx, and hardware load balancers; analyzing and reporting using Dynatrace, Elastic Stack, and Power Bi; architecting, implementing and managing monitoring solutions for production cloud environments; applying experience with open-source cloud agnostic technologies including Docker, Kubernetes, Ansible, and Terraform; and programming solutions using Python and Linux shell scripting.
