We are seeking a talented individual to join our Knowledge Services team at Marsh Risk, a Marsh business. This role will be based in Mumbai, India. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.

The candidate will play a key role in developing a robust claims data reserve for the FINPRO business across Europe. By transforming this data into actionable insights, they will help demonstrate the depth and expertise of our claims capabilities.

We will count on you to:

  • Develop a strong understanding of the insurance broking and claims business, systems in force

  • Take ownership of data collection, classification, file management, and actively contribute to the development of internal and external reports, ensuring accuracy and comprehensiveness

  • Apply critical thinking to identify, communicate, and implement enhancements to improve the quality and efficiency of data capture and classification and the overall process

  • Support manager in knowledge codification and transfer through effective documentation

  • Communicate progress to the manager and other key stakeholders, highlighting any escalations in a timely manner

  • Embrace changes in the technology landscape, proactively engaging in training to effectively integrate new tools into daily workflow

  • Take ownership of personal development, seeking feedback from managers and leveraging available resources to enhance skills and knowledge

What you need to have:

  • Bachelor’s degree in any discipline

  • At least 4 years in data entry and analysis/claims handling experience in the insurance domain- preferably Property & Casualty (P&C)

  • Proficiency in fundamental Excel skills

  • Capacity to assume ownership of updating and effectively communicate estimated project progress timelines to stakeholders and managers, showcasing strong communication and transparency throughout the project lifecycle

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

What makes you stand out?

  • Experience within a financial, liability or property claims data capture and analysis process within the Insurance industry, if you can read litigation documents, you make for an ideal candidate

  • Ability to examine data critically and identify analyses and synthesize trends out of them

  • Willingness to engage in work that encompasses both product knowledge and statistical analysis, demonstrating an openness to develop expertise in both domains
