Position Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Solution Architect to support enterprise-level initiatives with a focus on healthcare payer systems. The ideal candidate will bring a strong background in legacy systems, modern cloud technologies, and emerging AI capabilities to help design and guide scalable, secure, and innovative solutions.

Required Qualifications

• Education:
  • Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.

• Experience:
  • Minimum of 7 years in IT architecture or solution design roles.
  • Demonstrated experience in the healthcare payer industry, including familiarity with Value Based Contracting, Provider Contracting, Provider Integrations, Attachments, electronic communications with provider systems, document sharing, security, Identify Access Management,  claims processing, eligibility, and provider data management  systems.
  • Strong mainframe experience (IBM, CICS, DB2), including integration with modern platforms.
  • Proven expertise in cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, or GCP).
  • Hands-on experience with AI/ML technologies and their application in enterprise solutions.

• Technical Skills:
  • Architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF, Zachman)
• Lucid For Sketch Creation
  • API design and integration
  • Data architecture and governance
  • DevOps and CI/CD practices
  • Security and compliance in healthcare IT

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Solutions Architect Expert)
• Experience with hybrid cloud environments
• Familiarity with FHIR, HL7, and other healthcare data standards
• Experience with Low Code/No Code and Rules Framework tools

Education

• Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$130,295.00 - $260,590.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.  The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.  This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.  This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
