This is a part-time, remote position. It is expected that position duties will be performed remotely. Access to our office location and event attendance is optional. The time commitment is 10-25 hours per week.
POSITION OVERVIEW & RESPONSIBILITIES
We are looking for a Lead Software Engineering Instructor to lead the teaching of the SEO Tech Developer Summer Residency. This role will interface directly with our Program Manager and Teaching Assistants to ensure students (rising college Juniors) are prepared to launch successful SWE and SWE-adjacent careers. The Software Engineering Instructor will work closely with the program’s Lead Teaching Assistant to guide students through the curriculum through project-based assignments with well-defined guidelines and deliverables. The role demands a strong interest in career empowerment and mentorship for our students.
We are looking for an individual who will bring enthusiasm for learning and the ability to motivate and cultivate individuals across various technical backgrounds to grow their software engineering skills. Additionally, we aim to work with someone who recognizes AI’s versatility in today’s shifting tech landscape and can guide our students to use generative AI tools carefully and effectively.
