DUTIES: Apply strategic insight and broad business knowledge to solve complex business and technical problems to deliver solutions for the AT&T Network. Lead critical, high-impact network
projects; design and implement innovative solutions for the business while influencing decisions on key network technologies. Apply engineering principles and practice in broad areas of complex technical project work that require in-depth analysis using advanced techniques, knowledge, and expertise. Perform architecture, design, development, and deployment of systems supporting network solutions critical to company. Lead efforts to consolidate multiple network configuration management applications into a unified, efficient, and scalable solution. Gather and review software requirements, provide estimates, create design specifications, and work with engineers/architects to assess and test hardware and software interactions. Design and code software applications by applying various programming languages and network protocols. Develop solutions to maintain, audit, configure and backup network devices to ensure reliable operations of company network. Develop and implement AI/ML-driven solutions to enhance automation, improve accuracy, and optimize network provisioning processes. Create innovative Agentic AI technologies to enable autonomous decision-making and adaptability in network configuration and provisioning systems. Develop and implement automated test plans, validate test environments, data, and results, design and implement code fixes, and produce reporting. Troubleshoot and resolve application configuration and environmental issues. Provide technical expertise and mentorship to cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment with AT&T’s strategic goals and industry standards Use continuous integration continuous deployment principals along with using Agile development methodologies to ensure timely delivery and deployment of critical business features.
REQUIREMENTS: Requires a Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent degree, in Computer Engineering or Computer Science and five (5) years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered, or five (5) years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in a related occupation deploying cloud native applications on Azure and working with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools such as Kubernetes or OpenShift; applying technical knowledge of IP networking, network device configuration, network OSS architecture, Opensource technologies; programming with languages: Python, Java, JavaScript, React, Angular and shell scripting along with proficiency in Spring Boot, Microservices, and Spring Cloud; developing RESTful APIs and web services for seamless integration; using knowledge of Ansible playbooks and using and developing playbooks to manage network infrastructure; and using network protocols like TCP, Netconf and programmatically configuration of network routers and switches.
