MasterCard Leads software engineering projects and creates the development and delivery of enhanced software solutions. Researches alternative technical solutions for changing business needs. Responsible for assuring the daily activities of the team meet the requirements of SLA’s.

- Successfully lead major projects and complex assignments with broad scope and long-term business implications. Create solutions with high level of innovation, cost effectiveness, high quality and faster time to market.
Lead day to day system development and maintenance activities of the team to meet service level agreements (SLAs).
- Collaborate with business and technical partners to identify and scope the opportunities, outline potential value and ROI, identify risks, benefits and constraints. Contribute to the overall strategy and manage complex issues within functional area of expertise.
- Develop overall strategic technical plan and create architecture proposals based on identified solution gaps. As recognized subject matter expert, lead planning, design and implementation of technical solutions. Create solution definition and solution architecture. Assist Management in Business Case Development and Scenario Planning leading to an effective decision making process.
- Make presentations to the Management, Business Owners and other Stakeholders.
Assist in examining commercially available and forthcoming industry technologies related to area of expertise.
- Research on current and upcoming technologies and application appropriate frameworks and provide recommendations to Management. Perform PoCs (Proof of Concept) and help Department in the selection of Technology. Proactively create and maintain solution and technology road maps


Role:
- Hands-on developer who writes high quality, secure code that is modular, functional and testable.
- Lead the design, implementation, and delivery for engineering efforts across a program
- Create or introduce, test, and deploy new technology to optimize the service
- Design and build technical road-maps and guide the development staff on adoption
- Contribute to all parts of the software’s development including design, development, documentation, and testing.
- Have strong ownership of your team’s software and are deep in the maintenance characteristics, runtime properties and dependencies including hardware, operating system, and build.
- Communicate, collaborate and work effectively in a global environment.
- 8 to 11 years of experience in related field, including 5 to 8 years of experience in delivering secure solutions in Financial Services Sector is preferred.
- Advanced knowledge and understanding of Software Engineering Concepts and Methodologies is required.

About You:
- Strong foundation in algorithms, data structures and core computer science concepts.
- Evidence of working with object-oriented development and design patterns.
- Proficiency in multiple modern programming languages such as Java, Spring boot, Oracle etc.
- Strong written and verbal English communications skills.
- Strong analytical and excellent problem-solving skills.
- Experience working in an Agile environment.
- Experience with XP, TDD and BDD in the software development processes
- Proficiency with cloud technologies (IaaS, PaaS, serverless technology, NoSQL databases), micro-service design, CI/CD, DevOps
- Experience designing scalable fault tolerant platforms that are resilient to infrastructure failures
- Experience with the strangulation pattern and anti-corruption layers to migrate monolithic systems into independent services
- Expert in modern software design principles such as SOLID, DRY, and Single responsibility
