Job Description

This position will be responsible for the analysis, design, testing, development and maintenance of best in class software experiences. The candidate is a self-motivated individual who can collaborate with a team and across the organization. The candidate takes responsibility of the software artifacts produced adhering to U.S. Bank standards in order to ensure minimal impact to the customer experience. The candidate will be adept with the agile software development lifecycle and DevOps principles.

Essential Responsibilities:
  • Develop advanced AI/ML applications using Python, TensorFlow, PyTorch, and cloud platforms (Azure, AWS).
  • Build generative AI solutions, enterprise AI agents, and multi-agent orchestration using LangChain, Semantic Kernel, and related SDKs.
  • Design prompt architectures with Responsible AI guardrails; integrate Microsoft Copilot Studio and GitHub Copilot into workflows.
  • Implement secure, compliant AI systems (SOC2, GDPR) with OAuth 2.0, RBAC, and zero-trust principles.
  • Collaborate on system design, CI/CD pipelines, and responsive UI development (React, Angular).

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience
- Six to eight years of relevant experience

Preferred Skills/Experience
  • Python Programming: Advanced Python programming with AI/ML libraries (TensorFlow, PyTorch), data handling (NumPy, Pandas), API design (FastAPI, Flask , Spring AI), Unit testing with pytest, monitoring with Langfuse
  • Gen AI Applications : Building generative AI applications using AWS Bed Rock or Azure OpenAI to accelerate development workflows and integrate GenAI into software products
  • Azure AI Services : Azure AI Search for Semantic search, RAG. Experience with other vector databases (e.g., Pinecone, FAISS , Elastic Vector Search) or embedding storage.  Knowledge in Azure Cognitive Services Vision, Speech, Language, Decision APIs. Azure Document Intelligence, Azure AI Foundry .
  • AI Agents : Building Enterprise level AI Agents and Multi-Agent orchestration. Use of Enterprise ready Agentic AI SDKs Lang Chain/Lang Graph/Lang Smith/Auto Gen/Semantic Kernel/Agent Core/Crew AI/Agent2Agent/Agent Development Kit
  • Prompt-Engineering: Design prompt architectures and guardrails. Compliance, ensure prompts align with Responsible AI and Explainable AI (xAI) principles.
  • Microsoft Copilot Studio : Knowledge of Copilot Studio agents,  plugins. Connect Copilot experiences to enterprise APIs.
  • GitHub Copilot (GHCP) : Experience using GHCP with Visual studio code, IntelliJ IDEs. Knowledge in building VSCode private extensions and MCP tools.
  • AI Governance: Strong understanding of Data privacy, PII protection, and compliance (e.g., SOC2, GDPR). AI security principals protecting Agents (guardrails) , prompt injection
  • Front-End Engineering: Develop responsive UI components using ReactJSAngularJS, and TypeScript, often leveraging design-to-code automation tools like V0 
  • System Design: Collaborate on distributed systems and cloud-native infrastructure, ensuring performance, reliability, and security
  • DevOps & CI/CD: Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and GitLab CI/CD for deployment across environments. Knowledge of Terraform and Ansible scripts.
  • Programming Languages: Proficiency in programming languages like Python , TypeScript/JavaScript , Java, SQL, and Shell scripting
  • Cloud Platforms: Familiarity with Azure/AWSKubernetes, and modern DevOps paradigms  
  • OAuth 2.0/2.1 Integration : Building and integrating Authentication and Authorization for Enterprise Agents, MCP tools with Microsoft Entra for OAuth and OIDC. Apply role-based access control and zero trust for APIs and endpoints

Location expectations 
This role requires working from a U.S. Bank location three (3) or more days per week.

The salary range reflects figures based on the primary location, which is listed first. The actual range for the role may differ based on the location of the role. In addition to salary, U.S. Bank offers a comprehensive benefits package, including incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase 401(k) contribution and pension (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements). Pay Range: $126,820.00 - $149,200.00
