As a Lead Software Development Engineer, you will lead teams building scalable, compliant digital products that support global clinical trials. What You’ll Be Doing

  • Lead the design, development, deployment, and maintenance of software applications supporting eCOA solutions and clinical studies

  • Provide technical direction across the full software development lifecycle, from requirements through release and post‑production support

  • Partner with Product, Design, Quality, and Project Management teams to refine requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions

  • Own delivery of complex, customized client solutions, balancing timelines, quality, and regulatory compliance

  • Establish and enforce coding standards, development best practices, and architectural guidelines across the team

  • Perform code reviews and act as a subject matter expert within critical areas of the codebase

  • Guide validation, pilot activities, and operational readiness efforts in regulated environments

  • Ensure adherence to applicable regulations (including ISO and FDA 21 CFR Part 11) and maintain development‑related SOPs and SWIs

  • Communicate technical decisions, risks, timelines, and scope clearly to technical and non‑technical stakeholders

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives (Kaizen), tooling enhancements, and process optimization to improve delivery efficiency

  • Serve as the escalation point for complex technical challenges and critical production issues

  • Influence long‑term technical strategy and architectural decisions across the eCOA platform

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Software Development Engineers in a collaborative, high‑performing environment

  • Support career growth through coaching, regular feedback, and development planning

  • Delegate effectively while maintaining accountability and delivery ownership

  • Facilitate onboarding, training, and knowledge sharing for new and existing team members

  • Promote alignment across teams, resolve conflicts constructively, and drive consensus on technical approaches

  • Balance workloads, manage priorities, and ensure commitments are delivered on time

  • Act as an escalation point for delivery risks, resource challenges, and team issues

What We Look For

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience

  • 5–7 years of professional software development experience, with demonstrated technical leadership or mentoring responsibilities

  • Solid experience with web technologies including JavaScript (ES6) or TypeScript, CSS, XML, and JSON

  • Proficiency with SQL and database‑driven application development

  • Familiarity with development and collaboration tools such as Visual Studio, Eclipse, Git, GitLab, TFS, and JIRA

  • Strong understanding of software development methodologies including Agile (Scrum, Kanban) and Waterfall

  • Experience in clinical trials, healthcare, or life sciences technology would be advantageous

  • Experience developing software in regulated environments (e.g., ISO 9001, FDA 21 CFR Part 11) would be advantageous

  • Excellent problem‑solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment
