WHY THIS ROLE IS IMPORTANT TO US

This is an exciting role in our onboarding scrum team which is part of the larger global onboarding structure. The role will provide an opportunity to work with Microsoft Azure cloud technologies in a team that adopts DevOps methodologies at an innovative and growing company.

Our Lead Site Reliability Engineers will provide a stable infrastructure platform throughout our clients initial onboarding journey with SimCorp -whether that will be a greenfield project, or a migration of an existing client to our Azure cloud. The SRE will be responsible for aligning client requirements to standard features as well as deploying those features using automated technologies. Our SREs are pivotal in delivering technology-enabled services to our clients in a strategically evolving team.

WHAT YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR

As our Lead Site Reliability Engineer, you will be responsible for:

  • Manage and maintain pipelines for client onboarding and live clients on the Azure platform.

  • Work effectively within an Agile team to deliver complex onboarding programs in a sprint-based approach.

  • Understand Platform-As-A-Service (PaaS) platform and align client requirements to existing features.

  • Identify, define and scope new features when necessary.

  • Participate in RCA for Access related incidents.

  • Provide weekend support as part schedule rotation to ensure platform availability.

  • Lead design workshops with clients, vendors and other key stakeholders.

  • Mentor junior colleagues to facilitate knowledge sharing and team development.

  • Support and diagnose Citrix Cloud / Citrix DaaS environments delivering secure access to Azure-hosted machines and client environments.

  • Investigate and resolve issues across the Citrix infrastructure, including Citrix Gateway, StoreFront, Citrix Workspace app, HTML5 sessions, Cloud Connectors, VDA registration, and HDX session launch flows.

  • Troubleshoot connectivity and session issues related to ICA/HDX protocols, TCP/UDP transport, TLS/DTLS negotiation, session timeouts, authentication flows, and policy-based session routing.

  • Work closely with internal and client network teams to diagnose issues involving firewalls, proxies, SSL inspection, DNS, routing, and secure access to Citrix-hosted services.

  • Support environments integrated with SAML and identity providers, helping troubleshoot authentication, access, and session launch issues across Citrix Cloud and federated identity solutions.

  • Assist with the configuration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of Citrix policies, machine catalogs, delivery groups, gold images, and provisioning standards used in Azure-hosted Citrix environments.

  • Assist/Troubleshoot Active Directory, DNS, Group Policy (GPO),

  • Experience with REST APIs.

  • Working knowledge of Identity provider as a service eg. Azure EntraID, Okta, Ping Identity

  • SCIM Protocol Expertise, Identity Providers & Platforms, Authentication & Federation Knowledge, User Lifecycle & Access Management, Attribute Mapping & Identity Modeling, Security & Compliance Awareness, Enterprise Integration Experience 

WHAT WE VALUE

  • Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field; 7+ years supporting and resolving issues in mission‑critical systems in high‑pressure operational environments with frequent shifts in priorities.

  • Cloud & Infrastructure: Practical experience with Microsoft Azure (AWS exposure a plus); solid knowledge of networking, virtualization, storage, messaging, secrets management, serverless computing, and how cloud infrastructure impacts end‑user experience.

  • Operating Systems & Access: Experience administering Windows systems (Linux a plus); comfortable using CLI; solid knowledge of enterprise networking (TCP/UDP, DNS, TLS/SSL, routing, proxies, firewalls); familiarity with identity, access management, SSO, SCIM, SAML, federation, and user lifecycle management.

  • Citrix Expertise: Practical experience supporting and resolving issues with Citrix Cloud / Citrix DaaS (preferably Azure‑hosted), including Workspace, Gateway/NetScaler, StoreFront, Cloud Connectors, VDAs, HDX/ICA sessions, machine catalogs, delivery groups, policies, and secure remote access.

  • Automation & DevOps: Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation (Azure DevOps, Jenkins or similar); experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, Ansible, ARM); understanding of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).

  • Monitoring & Problem Diagnosis: Solid experience with monitoring and logging tools (Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Application Insights, Grafana); experienced in problem diagnosis of complex cross‑domain issues spanning cloud infrastructure, networking, identity, Citrix, and end‑user access, with a keen willingness to learn new technologies

Simcorp follows a global hybrid policy, asking employees to work from the office two days each week while allowing remote work on other days. 

For Toronto only: The salary range for this position is $104,240 - $143,300 CAD. Base pay may vary based on factors such as years of experience, skills and qualifications. Additionally, employees are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus and benefits including health and dental care, time off and Group RRSP/TFSA.
