The Role
This strategic, non-technical role leads the direction of SharePoint platforms and contributes to our data strategy. You will bridge the gap between business needs and technical execution, acting as the product lead for collaboration tools and the primary liaison for SharePoint strategy; responsible for managing stakeholders globally.
Responsibilities
- Strategy & Roadmap: Define and execute roadmap for SharePoint to align with business goals and contribute to the Enterprise Data roadmap.
- Governance: Oversee security, compliance, and governance frameworks for content lifecycles and data retention.
- Business Analysis: Gather requirements, document processes, and translate business needs into clear specifications for technical teams; harmonise requirements across different lines of business where possible.
- Adoption: Champion user engagement and training to ensure maximum value and adoption of SharePoint, our ways of working, and Microsoft 365 tools.
- Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary link between business units, IT, and data engineering teams; manage stakeholders towards more consistent ways of working.
Skills & Experience
- Leadership Experience: Ownership of SharePoint strategy with experience in influencing and delivering organisational ways of working; ability to contribute to a wider data strategy .
- SharePoint Expertise: Strong knowledge of SharePoint Online, M365 ecosystem, and document management.
- Data Strategy: experience in contributing to enterprise level data strategy; conceptual understanding of Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, and data lake strategies (coding/SQL not required).
- Communication: Excellent ability to translate business requirements into actionable technical solutions and manage key stakeholders effectively.
- Project and Stakeholder Management: Experience with planning, building and executing a roadmap of change; managing and influencing a diverse set of business stakeholders globally
