Salary Range: $107446 - $139684 Per Year

Job Summary: This position is located in the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), Farm Production and Conservation (FPAC) Business Center (FBC), Homeland Security Division. The incumbent serves as Team Leader and participates and collaborates in the analysis and formulation and execution of overall FPAC policy and procedures for HSPD-12 and represents the Branch Chief in working with other agency officials to coordinate activities and to resolve situations that arise.

Major Duties:

  • The incumbent advises Branch Chief and HSD Director on new developments and advances concerning PSATs and ePACs techniques and processes.
  • The incumbent is responsible for assuring that the work of their assigned team is carried out by performing a range of coordinating and supportive duties as it relates to PSATs, ePACS and HSPD-12.
  • The incumbent prepares and delivers briefings, speeches, papers, and statistical/analytical data when requested.
  • The incumbent distributes and balance the workload among employees in accordance with established workflow and job specialization.
  • The incumbent is responsible for ensuring team accountability for work productivity in an open and transparent environment.

Specialized Experience is defined as : One or more years of full-time specialized work experience equivalent to the GS-13 level in the Federal service, or comparable experience not gained through federal service that has equipped you with the necessary knowledge, skills and abilities to successfully perform the duties of this position. Specialized experience is defined as: Experience providing physical security policy guidance to Employees, Security Programs Managers, and Higher-level or Senior officials. Collecting information, interviewing workers, observing physical conditions and related activities concerned with violations and compromises. Reviewing requests for information security guidance or assistance which includes; identifying the nature of issues involved, and researching guidelines to identify the general policies and procedures that apply to their solutions. Time-in-Grade Requirement: If you are a current federal employee in the General Schedule (GS) pay plan and applying for a promotion opportunity, you must meet time-in-grade (TIG) requirements of 52 weeks of service at the next lower grade level in the normal line of progression for the position being filled. You must meet this requirement by the closing date of this announcement..
