Lead Security Engineering Advisor - National Ticketing Solution

Te Whiwhinga mahi | The opportunity

As Lead Security Engineering Advisor, you will lead engagement with the National Ticket Solution (NTS) programme to ensure security controls implementations are aligned with the identified Risk to this high impact, high complexity programme.

You will lead the engineering advisory on the implementation and operation of security controls and management strategies to maintain the security, confidentiality, integrity, availability, accountability and relevant compliance of information systems with legislation, regulation and relevant standards in the context of NTS related NZTA systems.

Appointment base salary is expected to be from $156,458 to $173,842 commensurate to knowledge and experience.

Ideally you will have:

  • Significant experience in a network, infrastructure, Firewalls, IAM, vulnerability management, Application and Cloud security leadership role or equivalent demonstrable experience
  • An in-depth understanding of security concepts and their implementation within an organization.
  • Experience and deep knowledge of secure architecture, offensive security, threat hunting, protocols, digital forensics secure coding and practices.
  • Strong understanding of the Operational Technologies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve security related issues.
  • Strong relationship management at a senior level
  • Excellent communication skills

Qualifications:

  • Appropriate industry certifications such as CISSP, CCSP, CCIE, Microsoft Azure/defender or equivalent
  • Demonstrable understanding of NZISM
  • Familiarity with the NZ Protective Security Requirement (PSR)
  • Familiarity with NZ Security Classification System

You will demonstrate knowledge of, or a willingness to gain an understanding of Te Ao Māori and promote tikanga and Te Reo Māori. You will also have knowledge of, or a willingness to gain an appreciation.
