Lead Securities Operations Specialist- WIM Ops Metrics, Capacity Planning and Forecasting

About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Metrics, Capacity Planning and Forecasting Specialist within the Workforce Management and Capacity Planning team to lead and execute on WIM Operations Metric Command Center deliverables. This would entail executing on business analysis, statistical modeling, creating capacity plans forecasts and executing on SQL/SAS queries to automate complex data from multiple sources.


In this role, you will:

  • Lead WIM Operations efforts aligned to metrics, data analysis and modeling to provide data backed capacity planning recommendations for multiple operations teams
  • Be adept at statistical modeling, scholastic testing and working with and updating excel based staffing models, perform regression testing and identifying staffing impacts due to forthcoming initiatives, provide recommendations to LOB leaders and incorporate into staffing models. He/she would also need to be an expert with excel based staffing and volume models, perform regression testing and/or other statistical testing as required
  • Consult, review and research moderately complex business, operational, and technical challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of variable data factors
  • Perform moderately complex data analysis to support and drive strategic initiatives and business needs
  • Develop a deep understanding of technical systems and business processes to extract data driven insights while identifying opportunities/enhancements
  • Responsible for optimizing and implementing standardized Capacity Planning framework policies and procedures across WIM Ops and the implementation of Monthly Performance Planning meetings across multiple business teams
  • He/she would also own and be accountable for setting up the business control framework for Capacity Planning procedures, success metrics and conduct regular audit checks to ensure process operates within a controlled and acceptable manner
  • Responsible for performing assigned analyses and projects to solve a variety of business issues for the WIM Ops business teams, including outlier monitoring, business cases and actively supporting strategic business initiatives, target operating model changes as well as ongoing monitoring of business operational performance.
  • He/she will be responsible for performing ad hoc sensitivity modeling, creating compelling business cases and influence required changes and provide insight and actionable intelligence to the senior leaders of the business.
  • Perform basic statistical and mathematical models using Python, SAS, C++ and SQL
  • Provide solutions to business needs and analyze workflow processes to make recommendations for process improvement in risk management
  • Lead or participate in moderately complex initiatives and deliverables by utilizing data-driven, advanced analytical, statistical techniques, algorithms, or models to make actionable insights, trends, recommendations, or contribute to large-scale planning that has a broader impact
  • Perform data analysis and related support and provide insights regarding a wide array of business initiatives
  • Independently analyze and resolve moderately complex issues and lead team to meet deliverables while leveraging solid understanding of analytic capabilities
  • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid-level managers to drive recommendations and strategies based on data-driven analytical insights, trends, recommend metrics and measurement.
  • Interpret and analyze data, using advanced analytics modeling methods and programming, to recommend ways to solve problems and influence business decisions and strategies
  • Research complex business risks, develop policies, enhance customer satisfaction, and review time sensitive documents and transaction requests


Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of Securities Operations experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following:  work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications:

  • Brokerage Industry Knowledge & Experience
  • Ability to translate complex technical needs into straightforward requests for information and collaboration, working with a wide range of people
  • Experience using data visualization tools such as MicroStrategy or Tableau including report creation, dashboards, and graphical data representation
  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of research and analysis
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to influence across all organizational levels, particularly senior management
  • Ability to quickly establish credibility to build and maintain effective working relationships
  • Experience as a collaborator who has built successful relationships and influenced across business lines to drive results
  • Experience analyzing call volumes, forecasting, and planning of staffing levels to meet the business goals for servicing and response time for customers
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills
  • Effective organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills
  • Solid problem-solving skills

Pay Range
 

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.

$100,000.00 - $179,000.00
