Compensation

Compensation includes a base salary of $111,500.00 - $185,900.00. The base salary may vary within the anticipated base pay range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include an incentive program.

Job Description

As a key partner to Product, Engineering, Architecture, Data, and AI Transformation leaders, the Lead Scrum Master ensures Agile practices effectively support experimentation, model development, platform scalability, and responsible AI adoption. The role emphasizes coaching, outcomes-based delivery, and the effective use of metrics, automation, and modern delivery tooling.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

Key responsibilities

  • Serve as the Agile leader for one or more teams or programs, ensuring consistent application of Scrum and Lean-Agile principles.

  • Facilitate all Scrum ceremonies (Sprint Planning, Daily Scrum, Reviews, Retrospectives) with a focus on flow, outcomes, and continuous learning.

  • Coach teams toward self-organization, accountability, and high trust, particularly in fast-moving AI and technology domains.

  • Mentor Scrum Masters and delivery team members, establishing standards and raising Agile maturity across the organization.

AI & Technology Transformation Support

  • Support teams delivering AI-enabled products, data platforms, and automation solutions, adapting Agile practices to research-heavy, iterative, and experimental work.

  • Partner with AI, Data Science, and Engineering leaders to: Balance discovery, experimentation, and delivery. Manage uncertainty, model iteration cycles, and technical risk. Enable rapid learning while maintaining delivery discipline.

  • Promote Agile approaches suitable for AI work, including hypothesis-driven development, spikes, dual-track Agile, and continuous validation.

  • Advocate for responsible AI practices, transparency, and alignment with enterprise governance and compliance expectations.

Delivery, Flow & Predictability

  • Drive end-to-end delivery predictability through effective planning, dependency management, and impediment removal.

  • Lead release planning and coordination across multiple teams or value streams, including integration with platform and shared services teams.

  • Proactively identify and resolve systemic impediments related to tooling, environments, data availability, and decision latency.

  • Partner with Engineering to support CI/CD, automation, and DevOps practices that improve speed, quality, and reliability.

Metrics, Insights & Continuous Improvement

  • Establish and maintain meaningful delivery metrics (e.g., flow, predictability, throughput, quality signals) that enable data‑informed decision making.

  • Use insights from metrics and retrospectives to drive targeted improvement initiatives at the team and program level.

  • Foster transparency through clear communication, visual management, and stakeholder-ready reporting.

Stakeholder Partnership & Communication

  • Act as a trusted partner to Product Owners, Product Managers, Engineering Managers, and AI Transformation leaders.

  • Facilitate alignment between business priorities, technical constraints, and delivery capacity.

  • Communicate risks, trade-offs, and progress clearly to senior stakeholders, helping set realistic expectations in complex AI and technology initiatives.

WHO YOU ARE

Required Qualifications

  • Must live within a commutable distance to Atlanta or Draper office

  • Bachelors Degree plus a minimum 6 years of experience

  • 6+ years' experience as a Scrum Master, Agile Coach, or Delivery Lead in technology-driven environments.

  • Must have experience working as a dedicated Scrum Master

  • Demonstrated success supporting complex, cross-functional teams delivering software, platforms, or data-intensive solutions.

  • Deep knowledge of Agile and Lean frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, XP) and Agile-at-scale approaches (e.g., SAFe).

  • Strong facilitation, coaching, conflict resolution, and systems-thinking skills.

  • Proven ability to operate effectively in environments with ambiguity, experimentation, and rapid change.

  • Scrum Master certification (CSM, PSM, or equivalent).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting AI, data, analytics, or platform engineering teams.

  • Familiarity with AI/ML delivery concepts (e.g., model lifecycle, experimentation, data pipelines), without requiring hands-on data science expertise.

  • Experience working in large-scale or enterprise delivery environments.

  • Proficiency with modern delivery and collaboration tools (e.g., Jira, Rally, Azure DevOps, Confluence, Miro).

  • Agile coaching credentials.
