TITLE:  Lead Risk and Insurance Analyst      

EMPLOYER: AES Clean Energy Services, LLC        

LOCATION: Louisville, CO (Telework permitted 2 days per week. 10% domestic and international travel)

                                                    

DUTIES: Conduct high-quality analysis to support development, legal, construction, and operations activities

from an insurance perspective, managing contractual risks and implementing insurance programs. Develop new

analytical methods to support the Risk and Insurance Management Office’s renewal and payment processes.

Communicate regularly with various departments (Finance, Operations, HR, Purchasing, etc.) to ensure compliance

with Risk and Insurance Management responsibilities. Collect and analyze complex data related to business changes,

including new assets, sales, operations, and financial obligations. Provide technical and analytical support for claims,

including coordinating with brokers, adjusters, and business areas on property and financial data. Maintain relationships

with internal departments, brokers, insurance companies, and third-party vendors to manage insurance and risk

effectively.

REQUIREMENTS: 4 years of experience in any occupation involving risk insurance management or a related field.

The position requires four (4) years of experience in:

  • Review and analyze the insurance portfolio to ensure adequate coverage, eliminating redundancies, and negotiating better premiums or terms based on the company’s risk profile.
  • Evaluate all types of insurance policies (Casualty, Property, Financial Program and Cyber) to ensure they meet the organization’s risk coverage needs. This includes examining the
  • wording, including exclusions, deductibles, and coverage limits, to ensure there are no gaps or misunderstandings in coverage.
  • Data Analysis and Reporting: Collect and analyze data for underwriting ensuring accurate reporting of exposures and risks. Strong reporting skills are essential, with experience in Power
  • BI or similar tools to create visually compelling, data driven reports.
  • Review and analyze different types of contracts to assess insurance and liability requirements, including but not limited to Power Purchase Agreements; Engineering, Procurement and
  • Construction contract; Master Service Agreements; Land Lease Agreements and Limited Liability Company Agreements, ensuring that all insurance requirements, indemnity clauses, and
  • liability protections are properly worded and match the company’s risk strategy.
  • Budgeting, forecasting, and payment processing (Including creation of PR, PO and invoice tracking) to ensure accurate financial planning and compliance with business objectives,
  • supporting risk management and insurance program implement.
  • Conduct comprehensive risk assessment of M&A projects, identifying potential risks that could jeopardize the acquisition and being able to develop mitigating strategies including
  • insurance policies placement, contractual risk transfer or changes in design.

The position requires three (3) years of experience in:

  • Analyze claims frequency, severity, loss ratio, premium growth rate and exposure to adjust insurance policies coverage, deductibles and limits.
  • Conduct monthly reporting, invoicing, and reviewing financial transactions to identify discrepancies, analyze complex data, and ensure proper allocation of payments in support of risk management and claims processes.
  • Develop procedures, forms and educational information for dissemination to the Company and Businesses through periodic reports.

             

SALARY: $112,000 to $135,000 per year (Standard Corporate Benefits provided)
