Job Summary: This position is located at Fort Riley Intramural Sports. The Intramural Sports Program offers broad-based team and individual sports based on Soldier interest and unit mission requirements. Intramural leagues emphasize sports that promote group participation with a wide appeal; such as softball, volleyball, flag football, basketball, and soccer. This is an Intermittent (flexible) position with scheduled hours between 0-39 hours per week.

Major Duties:

  • Circulates among patrons to assure service is satisfactory; receives and resolves customer complaints; provides information and general instructions on the use of equipment, facilitates and machinery.
  • Plans, conducts, publicize and arrange support for special events, social activities, tournaments and related functions.
  • Leads, distributes, trains and balances the work-load of other employees.
  • Answers questions of other employees on procedures, policies, and directives. Provides leadership, guidance and oversight in program operations. Provides on-the job training to new employees.
  • Get fields and courts ready for competition and monitor the competition. Performs other duties as assigned.

Highly preferred is defined as possessing: Prior DFMWR experience in Intramural Sports or knowledge of Intramural Sports in a Community Recreation or Sports Program.
