We are recruiting for a Lead Race Operations Technician to supervise the safe movement and deployment of company equipment in line with the Company policies and procedures.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Supervise rigging team on a day to day basis
  • Liaise with Manager on a regular basis to keep them informed of matters arising from day to day activities
  • Write regular reports on section activities
  • Ensure all paperwork is completed and submitted by drivers in line with Company policies and procedures
  • Supervise packing and weighing of containers both at Biggin Hill and the Circuit
  • Rig and de-rig of the Technical / Broadcast Centre and ancillary equipment as required e.g. deployment of nodes, cables, camera platforms, gazebo’s etc.
  • Loading and strapping of vehicles
  • Transportation of components safely to and from events whilst complying with health and safety, legal and tachograph requirements at all times
  • Ongoing maintenance
  • of the Technical / Broadcast Centre during race week including painting of floor, cleaning and polishing of panels etc
  • Ongoing maintenance of vehicles during race week e.g. washing and polishing trucks
  • Where required assist other departments with tasks such as tracking, cam driving, camera work, pit lane spotting etc.
  • Act as security officer during event week, which includes refuelling equipment when undertaking night security duties
  • Operate shuttle bus when required
  • When required act as banksman, where qualified to do so
  • Operate lifting equipment as required and only when qualified to do so
  • Biggin Hill based tasks as advised including Winter refurbishment of equipment, driving jobs etc.
