As a Lead Quality Engineer, you will play a critical role in shaping how quality is engineered across our technology platforms. You will lead the design and scaling of automated testing solutions, embed quality‑first practices across the software development lifecycle, and partner closely with engineering and product teams to deliver reliable, high‑performing systems. This role offers the opportunity to work with modern cloud technologies, apply AI‑enabled testing approaches, and have a visible impact on product quality at scale. Position Responsibilities:

Quality Engineering & Automation

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable automated test solutions that improve product quality, reliability, and performance.
  • Analyze automation results, investigate failures, and collaborate with teams to resolve quality risks early.
  • Develop test strategies and patterns to validate functional, performance, scalability, and reliability requirements.
  • Apply modern testing techniques, including AI‑assisted test generation for cloud APIs.

Process, Metrics & Governance

  • Define, track, and report on quality KPIs such as defect trends, defect density, and first‑time pass rate.
  • Prepare and present quality dashboards, audit findings, and recommendations to stakeholders.
  • Establish, maintain, and evolve quality standards, tools, and best practices across teams.
  • Capture and implement leading quality engineering practices to drive continuous improvement.

Collaboration & Leadership

  • Partner closely with developers, product managers, and business analysts to embed quality throughout the SDLC.
  • Conduct code and test reviews, proactively identifying risks and improvement opportunities.
  • Perform peer reviews of deliverables, supporting a culture of learning, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement.

Continuous Learning

  • Stay current with frontend and backend technologies, testing frameworks, and industry trends to support diverse application needs.


Required Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated hands‑on experience in quality engineering with a strong focus on test automation in modern software environments.
  • Proven ability to design test strategies, analyze results, and use quality metrics to inform decisions and improvements.
  • Experience testing cloud‑based APIs, including exposure to AI‑enabled or automated test generation tools.
  • Strong collaboration skills with the ability to influence quality practices across cross‑functional teams.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience leading or influencing quality engineering practices across multiple teams or complex systems.
  • Hands‑on experience applying AI‑driven or advanced automation techniques to API or cloud testing.
  • Experience with performance, scalability, and reliability testing in distributed systems.

Working Arrangement

Hybrid

Salary range is expected to be between

$113,260.00 CAD - $210,340.00 CAD

Employees also have the opportunity to participate in incentive programs and earn incentive compensation tied to business and individual performance. The actual salary will vary depending on local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education/training.
