Who we are looking for:

GlobalLink QA provides professional quality verification & assurance to applications in State Street asset services.  We’re looking for a candidate with minimum 10 years of experience software IT industry with hands-on QA & QA Automation.  This role will be responsible to perform functional and automation testing, which including Functional testing, ROI evaluation, automation framework & scripts development, and continuous integration etc. The role is based in Hyderabad, India.

As a Principal automation test engineer you will:

  • Be Responsible for maintaining code quality, reviewing and refactoring test scripts and automating new features.
  • Collaborate with Global teams ( dev, product and qa ) to ensure the test suite is robust, maintainable and delivers fast feedback.
  • Value clear, reliable, and maintainable automation, and drive adoption of best practices in test design, data management, and CI/CD integration.
  • Focus on developer experience (DX), and believe good tests verify outcomes, not implementation details, and that good tests are legible and simple.
  • Analyze product requirements for State Street’s software platforms and designing effective test cases to meet requirements.
  • Take ownership of product modules, QA effort estimation, and performance of required testing for all software modifications.
  • Work closely with QA /Development team members and other IT teams to ensure quick resolution of reported issues.
  • Performing integration, functional, regression and E2E testing.
  • Provide crisp & clear analysis of issues found during testing with all the RCA to help fix issues quickly.
  • Proven solid communication skills and ability to work effectively with
    developers and analysts
  • Design, develop, execute and maintain automated testing for front end and back end solutions
  • Participate in the complete software development life cycle including analysis, design, test execution, test automation and operational rollout Maintain efficient and timely communication between QA, Development and Product teams
  • As Hybrid QA engineer should be ready to take up any QA task including both functional and automation Adhere to company procedures for proper execution of compliance, training and regulatory duties

Core/Must have skills:

  • Good knowledge on any programming language with strong experience on developing scalable object oriented frameworks.
  • Good Grip on DS and common algorithms to write tests which are not complex and easy to maintain.
  • Hands on experience in any automated tech stack / framework – Cucumber, Mocha, TestNG with tools like Selenium, WebDriver I/O, Playwright, Cypress etc.
  • Must be able to understand application tech stacks and how different layers communicate with each other. Knowledge of WebSocets communication protocol is an added advantage.
  • Proven ability to write, review, and implement test plans and test cases (both manual and automated).
  • Demonstrated experience in taking ownership of product modules, QA effort estimations, and performing the required testing for all software modifications.
  • Proven ability to document all Test artifacts including Test Cases and Test Plans in the Test Case Management System.
  • Proven ability in performing stress test on large scale applications with tools like JMeter, Load runner etc.
  • Proven ability using standard UNIX utilities to do testing and debugging issues
  • Demonstrated experience with large, complex business applications and distributed systems troubleshooting, debugging, and analysis skills.
  • Demonstrated experience in understanding the software development lifecycle, especially in Agile.
  • Demonstrated experience with web services, REST, SOAP, XSLT, XSD, and XML.
  • Demonstrated experience with UNIX, Linux, and Windows operating systems.
  • Demonstrated experience with software build and release management processes, such as maintaining QA environments.
  • Demonstrated experience with automation tools and scripting.
  • Experience in strategizing, planning / executing regression tests and exposure to SDLC process.

Good to have skills:

  • Experience testing complex trading platforms is a plus
  • Prior experience working in Forex/Banking platforms or related domains is a plus
  • Any Experience with FIX (Financial Exchange Protocol) is a plus

Education and experience requirement(s):

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or similar technical field with 10+ years of experience in QA with strong knowledge on SDLC, working in all components of software test life cycle.
