Job Summary: This position is part of the Air Force Elements, U.S. Transportation Command.

Major Duties:

  • As a LEAD PROGRAM MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST at the GS-0301-13 some of your typical work assignments may include: Performs, provides, obtains, and advises on a variety of management services essential to the direction and efficient operation of the Command Group (CG) and the Joint Secretariat (TCCS-JS) including but not limited to personnel management, project control, budget, knowledge management, and information management internal controls Primary lead and advisor on Knowledge Management (KM) and Information Management (IM) program requirements ensuring alignment of KM and IM activities to the command's mission, goals, and objectives. Serves as USTRANSCOM's expert Senior Knowledge Management Officer and Joint Secretariat Support Lead. Ensures that the organization's strategic plan, mission, vision and values are communicated to the team and integrated into the team's strategies, goals, objectives, work plans and work products and services. Chairs and/or participates in Command-directed study groups. Functions as the Resource Manager and Human Resources Liaison for the Command Group. Focal Point and Technical Expert for USTRANSCOM Enterprise Task Management Software Solution (ETMS2).

Qualifications: You may qualify at the GS-13 level, if you fulfill the following qualifications: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service: Advanced understanding of electronic tasking system such as ETMS2 or TMT. Oversight of information management functions; Directives, Records, Office Administration Understanding of collaboration platforms such as Teams and SharePoint Ability to perform Resource Advisor duties - Ability to maintain a Command Battle Rhythm. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
