Job Summary

This role leads and supports initiatives and tasks associated with the management of Priority Health Commercial products and vendor relationships. This includes supporting the planning and development process of new products; ongoing maintenance of and operational support for existing products (including sales training), investigation and resolution of product performance issues, reporting on product performance, planning for future product enhancements and managing ongoing vendor relationships and contract specifications. Supports the successful delivery of identified product solutions through issue resolution, and business and operational requirements documentation. Coordinates and leads mid-to-large scale complex product initiatives.  
 
Supports IS development process for new products or product features including the documentation of business requirements, and the development and execution of test plans/cases. Captures, validates and documents business, organizational and/or operational requirements. Once requirements are identified, supports the collaborative identification of solutions by business and technical staff based on business needs. Solutions often include a system development component, but may also consist of process improvement or organizational change. 

Essential Functions

  • Support the product development and testing phases of the product development life cycle, including development of supporting documentation, and process documentation. Support the product managers in the documentation and assessment of new product design requirements. Publish, distribute, ensure sign-off on business requirements and other required documentation in support of Compliance. 
  • Documents product designs and catalogues in a reference library. 
  • Supports product implementation across all departments or external partners. 
  • Responsible for the problem and issue resolution, working with functional business areas to assess and solve product-related technology and operational performance issues affecting product performance, and/or customer / partner / member satisfaction. 
  • Leads the development of performance improvement strategies. 
  • Executes complex projects in sometimes ambiguous situations 
  • Deliver organization training in support of new products or product enhancements including training in various system platforms. 
  • Lead teams to resolve product-related questions and issues from internal and external stakeholders including sales, Customer Service, Providers, internal operations teams. 
  • Manage existing vendor relationships and contract requirements 
  • Regularly report on the product performance of products and make recommendations for enhancements or sunset as needed 
  • Mentor team members as necessary 

Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's Degree  
  • 10 years of relevant experience business or health care product and operation experience  
  • Demonstrated experience developing and executing unit, integration and acceptance test plans managing product performance 

Preferred 

  • Strong knowledge and understanding of Priority Health’s products, benefit structures, and product development processes.
  • Ability to quickly grasp and describe Priority Health products and benefit designs.
  • Strong understanding of Priority Health systems and operational processes, including but not limited to, Group and Member installation and maintenance, Billing, and Fulfillment. 
  • Basic understanding of Priority Health’s technical infrastructure, integration of systems, batch processes and configurations and technical design of application and interfaces.
