Purpose of Position

We are hiring a Lead Designer to help define and build a distinctive accessories language for the brand across customisable products, charms, add-ons, small leather goods, and related lifestyle accessories.

This role is for a designer with the ability to create products that feel recognizable, refined, and enduring—not simply attractive or trend-responsive. The successful candidate will combine strong creative authorship with disciplined execution, shaping products that express clear brand codes, elevated materiality, and a coherent collectible logic across core, seasonal, and limited programs.

This person will own the design process from concept through launch, while contributing to a broader product language that can scale over time. They must be capable of designing both individual hero pieces and modular systems that build long-term brand equity through consistency, desirability, and thoughtful evolution.

Job Description

Product Design & Creative Ownership
  • Lead design of accessories and customisable products from concept development through sampling, refinement, and launch.
  • Create products with a clear sense of authorship, distinction, and brand recognizability.
  • Develop hero pieces as well as supporting product families that reinforce a larger collection narrative.
  • Translate brand codes, storytelling direction, and category ambition into products with clarity, restraint, and depth.
Modular System Design
  • Build modular and customisable product systems across charms, attachments, personalization elements, and accessory extensions.
  • Define how products connect, evolve, and expand across seasons and drops without losing coherence.
  • Design with long-term system thinking, ensuring products contribute to a cumulative and ownable brand world.
Material, CMF & Detail Resolution
  • Lead material exploration across leather, metal, textiles, trims, and finishing techniques with high sensitivity to tactility, durability, and visual balance.
  • Drive CMF direction with sophistication and control, ensuring finishes, tones, and details support a premium and brand-consistent outcome.
  • Resolve every element of the product to a high standard, from proportion and construction logic to hardware, edges, stitching, embossing, and final finish.
  • Exercise strong editing judgment, knowing where to create signature expression and where restraint creates greater value.
Development & Production Partnership
  • Partner closely with product development, suppliers, and factories to translate design intent into high-quality production outcomes.
  • Review prototypes and samples rigorously, refining construction, material expression, finish, usability, and proportion.
  • Understand production capability, technical constraints, tooling implications, and cost trade-offs without lowering the design bar.
  • Protect product integrity through disciplined decision-making during development.
Brand Coherence & Collectible Framework
  • Ensure consistency across collections, drops, and categories while allowing for meaningful evolution.
  • Design within a product architecture that spans core, seasonal, limited, and collectible tiers.
  • Create differentiation across tiers through materiality, detailing, design complexity, and narrative value without fragmenting the brand language.
  • Contribute to a product ecosystem that strengthens collectibility, desirability, and long-term brand memory.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Partner with Merchandising on assortment logic, category architecture, and product role.
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Brand teams to support campaign storytelling and launch relevance.
  • Work with Supply Chain and Production to align design ambition with quality, feasibility, lead times, and scale.
  • Present concepts and design rationale with clarity, conviction, and strategic understanding.

Requirement

  • Direct experience in luxury is strongly preferred and should be evident in portfolio and prior roles.
  • Proven ability to lead products from concept through development to final launch.
  • Strong experience with leather, metal hardware, textiles, trims, and premium finishing methods.

    • Coherent collection thinking
    • Disciplined detail resolution
  • Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate both creative intent and practical decision logic.
