Boeing Distribution, Inc.Boeing Global Services (BGS) Distribution Business is looking for a Lead Procurement Agent (Level 4) for our Hialeah, FL facility.
The Lead Procurement Agent is responsible for the day to day and tasks associated with the Commodity teams. The individual will assist in the facilitation of the flow of information across the business and the company’s external supply chain.
Position Responsibilities:
Oversee and support the day to day operations of the Commodity team to achieve key results in support of the business: optimizing demand and releasing those aggregated requirements into the supply base. Manage this process on an ongoing basis seeking to reduce manual intervention and duplication where possible
Ensure day to day priorities are aligned with Commodity Management expectations. Ensure a thorough understanding of
people and processes
Manage negotiations with vendors on prices, contracts and conditions, work to establish and maintain Capacity, and Min Max type of agreements
Ensure the implementation of and adherence to, standard operating procedures to ensure superior levels of performance as well as identifying potential areas of process improvement
Use a monthly "Dashboard" of KPIs regarding supply base performance. Use this information as the basis for prioritizing Supply Chain performance improvement. Agree on recovery plans where needed.
Manage replenishment of fast-moving items and contract items
Resolve supplier discrepancies (quantities, paperwork and other) by closely working with the Operations/QA departments
Assist in continuously enhancing the skills of team members by coaching, training, and/or mentoring activities

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience)
6+ years of related experience or relevant military experience
3+ years of negotiation experience
Experience with basic ERP system functionality such as Systems Applications and Processing (SAP) and/or Procurement to Pay (PTP)
Experience with interacting directly with suppliers regarding contract requirements and/or proposals
Proactive engagement with various disciplines and program stakeholders
Gathers data for supplier performance evaluation and improvement opportunities
Production and spares pricing and lead-time negotiations.
Collaboration with other internal teams to gain process efficiencies and meet the needs of our internal and external customers’ requirements
Experience with Microsoft Office Products such as Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
Experience in Program or Project Management
Preferred Qualifications/Desired Skills (Desired Skills/Experience):
Bachelor’s Degree – Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or related field of study
Experience working in a distribution business environment
APICS Certified in Production & Inventory Management (CPIM)
Experience in Supply Chain Management
Creating and developing strategy plans
Developing proposals
Experience working in Procurement and/or Contract Administration roles
Experience utilizing interim financing solutions to support suppliers or contractors in managing cash-flow gaps during the project or contract lifestyle
Leverage supervisory experience to lead teams effectively, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and promoting a collaborative work environment.
Experience in commodity / product knowledge
