Location: Vicksburg, MS (Ceres Facility)

Position: Lead

Work Shift:   1st Shift

Pay Grade: PR05 - $17.75

Shift Pay: NO

SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for the following but not limited to:

  • Assisting the Supervisor in coordination of the daily responsibilities of the department by ensuring the Supervisor’s instructions are communicated to the team members and carried out timely and correctly.

  • Ensuring the presets of machinery are accurate for the product type as well as through-put of product and meeting daily out-put pounds required.

  • Monitor all equipment to insure it is working properly and notify the supervisor of any needed maintenance while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.

  • Placement of Team Members at the start of each shift

  • Rotate Team Members throughout each shift

  • Ensuring all lines are kept supplied with product

  • This will position will require standing, walking, bending, stretching, climbing, pushing, pulling, stooping and the ability to climb ladders.

Required Skills:

  • Must possess skills to complete Tyson paperwork

  • Ability to lead by example and motivate the hourly workforce

  • Good problem identification and problem-solving skills

  • Math and organizational skills

  • Ability to read and interpret product specifications

  • Must function well under stress

  • Must have flexibility to work where and when needed. Position may involve heavy lifting 50-70 lbs. or more.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Experience:   Six (6) months prior poultry experience

Safety: Must be able to understand and agree to follow Safety Rules.

Computer Skills:  Basic computer skills with knowledge in Word and Excel
Communication Skills:  Good interpersonal and communication skills are
critical

·       Former Tyson Team Members must be separated from the company for a minimum of 365 calendar days.

·       Also, if you have worked at Tyson 3 times or more you will not be eligible for rehire.
