Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for product quality of specific production line, daily communication with shop floor operation team & Manufacturing Engineers.
  • Lead NC part review & disposition, generate NC trending and statistical reports. 
  • Lead quality issue and improvement plan tracking, lead cross function team to generate containment actions, permanent actions and track sustainability and practicality.
  • Lead quality review meeting & drive improvement actions implementation 
  • Ensures quality control while identifying & driving process effectiveness and efficiency improvement.
  • Utilize proven interpersonal skills to communicate with supplier/business/cross functional team members.
  • Operates with some autonomy and professional judgment, provides informal guidance to team members, concisely explains complex information to others.
  • Utilizes professional experience, technical skills, and analytical thinking to provide compliance guidance to colleagues and assist with problem resolution. May use multiple internal sources outside of own team to arrive at decisions.
  • Creates a Quality culture by driving quality improvement activities, drive zero defect culture expansion within site.
  • Aware and comply with GEHC Quality Management System and ISO 13485.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or a minimum of 5 years' work experience in Quality relate field. Mechanical, EE or other engineering majors.
  • Closed loop quality management mindset, multiple roles in quality related fields,  such as product quality/process quality/customer quality/supplier quality etc.
  • Strong data analysis skills, familiar with Quality tools, such as 5-WHY, 8D, MSA, SPC, CP, 6 sigma etc.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English (both written and oral).
  • Demonstrated experience and proficiency with MS Office word processing, spreadsheet, presentation, and database applications and quality tools.
  • 6 sigma Green Belt, Black Belt preferred.

Desired Characteristics

  • Minimum of 7 years' experience in a quality related position is preferred.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills. Established project management skills.
  • Demonstrated expertise to effectively communicate with cross functional teams and suppliers to achieve product quality improvement, previous direct contact/management with suppliers is preferred.
  • Experience leading and implementing changes, ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in fast-paced challenging environment with both flexibility and resillence.
  • Strong analytical & problem solving skills, exceptional root-cause analysis skills.
  • Team player, demonstrated collaboration, negotiation & conflict resolution skills.
  • Ability to multi-task & handle tasks with competing priorities effectively.
  • Strong technical aptitude (i.e. able to read & comprehend technical documentation & execute procedures).
