We Offer

Joining Maersk will embark you on a transformational journey with great opportunities for career development within a global organization. As Head of Network Product Operations (Enablement & Governance), you will build the operating system that enables our network product teams to scale: consistent lifecycle governance, transparent prioritization, cost and value visibility, supplier integration, and data-driven decision-making and help shape how we build, launch, and evolve network products and services that enable our highly distributed global business across sites, fleet, assets and IoT connectivity. Product Operations is an enablement function designed to improve processes, tooling, collaboration and insights across the product lifecycle so that product teams can focus on delivering customer value. You will be exposed to a wide and challenging range of needs and opportunities requiring you to engage closely with senior stakeholders across all management levels within Maersk.

A globally focused shipping and transportation organisation is continuing to drive an ambitious and complex change and transformational programme to deliver a service of excellence for its customers and clients worldwide. The Global CTIO has a mandate from the Maersk board to lead the Technology transformation of Maersk which will enable the Maersk business strategy to become the global integrator of container logistics through digitising the Maersk business processes and customer engagement. The Technology function is fundamental to enable the company’s transformation and in response to this demand, our in-house technological capability is growing exponentially. We are recruiting world class talent to ensure that the technology services are modernised to enable Maersk to become a logistics integrator leveraging a competitive advantage through technology.

Why this job matters?

The Network Architecture & Engineering function is pivotal to our transformation, responsible for the engineering of network and network security capabilities that provide the digital connectivity backbone for Maersk - connecting people, platforms, assets and value-chain partners. Product-led delivery at global scale requires more than strong engineering: it requires a repeatable management system that governs the product lifecycle, creates transparency into cost and value, ensures supplier services are operationally integrated, and makes decision-quality insights available to leaders. Product Operations exists to provide that system. Reporting to the Director of Network Architecture & Engineering, you will serve as Head of Network Product Operations (Enablement & Governance). You will lead a small, high-impact team that will establish and run the governance, standards, analytics, and enablement mechanisms that allow network product teams to deliver consistently, transparently, and at scale.

What I'll be doing – key accountabilities?

· Support product management governance cadence across the network portfolio - intake, prioritization, dependency visibility, lifecycle status (e.g., evolving/GA/retiring), and executive reporting.

· Portfolio & prioritization discipline - ensure the organization has the right mix of initiatives/products/services within resource constraints, with transparent tradeoffs.

· Service offer & service catalog lifecycle (customer-facing) - govern definitions, versions, and retirement of service offers and ensure a single, consistent source of service/offer information for relevant audiences.

· M&A infrastructure integration governance (framework ownership) - define and govern the network M&A integration framework and playbooks (discovery, target-state alignment, migration waves, dependency mapping, cutover governance, stabilization/exit tracking), providing transparent progress and risk reporting against integration commitments.

· Operational Readiness / Transition-to-Run (ORR/T2R) partnership - embed readiness requirements into delivery ways-of-working and partner with the Operational Excellence Lead (who holds stop-the-line authority for ORR) to prevent operational debt from entering production.

· Cost transparency & unit economics - establish allocation rules, tagging/metadata strategies, showback-ready reporting, and unit cost models that leaders trust.

· Supplier enablement & performance governance - standardize supplier onboarding/operational integration, scorecards, escalation models, and continuous improvement loops; ensure vendor decisions for new capabilities consider operational fit and supply-chain risk posture.

· Product/portfolio analytics (non-assurance) - build decision-grade insight into adoption, demand, lead times, cost-to-serve and supplier value, with consistent KPI definitions (avoiding “multiple truths”).

· Drive a climate of business partnership and enablement whilst pursuing cost leadership.

The Candidate

To be considered for this opportunity candidates will have the following core capabilities:

· Technology leadership experience in a global enterprise, telecom provider, systems integrator, or similarly complex environment, with strong stakeholder influence at executive level.

· Proven capability to build operating models: governance cadence, lifecycle frameworks, decision rights, and scalable standards across multiple teams/products.

· Strong analytical and financial fluency: cost allocation, showback principles, unit economics and transparent reporting.

· Supplier governance and risk-minded operationalization experience (including understanding of supply chain risk considerations across vendor lifecycle).

· Solid domain understanding of global network and network security services - enough to govern lifecycle and enable teams.

· Strong presentation skills, capable of articulating complex ideas with authority and making the case for adoption, with the ability to present a high-level vision and story as well as detailed analysis to underpin it. Must be experienced presenting to senior stakeholders.

· Be a fit with the culture and values of Maersk.

Why join

You’ll help shape how a global organization delivers connectivity as a product - improving speed, consistency, transparency, and customer experience through a scalable product-led operating model.
