Scope of Position 

The Sleep Laboratory encompasses all technical functions within the Sleep Disorders Center. The laboratory is the diagnostic area of the Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care. It evaluates all patients suspected of having sleep disorders. It is located at University Hospitals East. The laboratory is staffed 7 nights a week.   

Position Summary 

Under the medical direction of a physician, Polysomnographic Technologist prepares patients for both all night polysomnographic recordings and multiple sleep latency tests and maintenance of wakefulness tests. The lead technologist will be responsible for daily operational coverage and schedules, aiding with interviewing and hiring as well as planning in-service training for staff.

Minimum Qualifications 

For Hire: High School Diploma or GED equivalent.  Credentialed in Sleep through the BRPT or RRT programs.  Minimum of 2 years relevant experience required.
