The Lead Pharmacy Technician – Pediatrics role is based at Cleveland Clinic Main Campus with a primary assignment in the Pediatric Pharmacy Satellite, supporting pediatric inpatient units, the pediatric satellite pharmacy, and CCCHR services, with limited and structured float coverage. This position operates within a large, multi-specialty academic medical center and focuses on pediatric medication distribution across high-acuity inpatient and specialty service lines. The lead technician works closely with pediatric pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, pediatric nurses, unit leadership, and interdisciplinary care teams, while also providing indirect Main Campus support through an on-call technician program and coordination with central pharmacy teams during coverage needs. Responsibilities include supporting pediatric medication distribution workflows, maintaining and managing pediatric medication inventory, assisting with deliveries to pediatric units and satellites, coordinating pediatric-specific medication needs with pharmacists, participating in on-call and downtime support, and ensuring compliance with pediatric safety and regulatory standards. This highly collaborative role emphasizes accuracy, safety, clear communication, and reliability, with a technician-to-unit coverage model built on shared accountability in support of safe, effective pediatric patient care.
A caregiver in this role will work primarily day shift from 6:00am to 2:30pm and evening shifts from 2:00pm to 10:30pm every 4th week. Weekend rotations occur every 4th weekend. There is an expectation to work 3 holidays per year.
