Manage warehouse operations with a focus on safety, quality, and efficiency while supporting operational excellence. This role is responsible for coordinating daily activities, maintaining accurate inventory management, and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. You will guide and develop team members while fostering a culture of continuous improvement through Practical Process Improvement (PPI) initiatives. Responsibilities include managing warehouse processes such as receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping materials, including sensitive scientific products, hazardous materials, and temperature-controlled items.


A Day in the Life:

  • Oversee daily warehouse operations including receiving, storage, picking, packing, and shipping activities
  • Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards (cGMP/GxP, DOT/IATA/IMDG as applicable)
  • Maintain accurate inventory control and support warehouse management system (WMS/ERP) transactions
  • Coordinate team activities and provide guidance, training, and performance support
  • Operate and support the use of powered industrial equipment (e.g., forklifts)
  • Handle a variety of materials including standard supplies, hazardous materials, and temperature-controlled products
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, 5S, Kaizen, and PPI methodologies
  • Collaborate across teams to resolve issues, manage priorities, and improve operational efficiency


Keys to Success:

Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.


Experience:

  • 4+ years of warehouse operations experience required
  • 1+ years in a leadership or supervisory role preferred
  • Experience in cGMP/GxP regulated environments preferred
  • Experience with inventory control procedures and warehouse operations
     

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:

  • Strong leadership and interpersonal communication skills
  • Proficiency with warehouse management systems, ERP software (SAP, Oracle, etc.), and Microsoft Office
  • Knowledge of warehouse safety regulations and hazardous materials handling (DOT/IATA/IMDG preferred)
  • Forklift certification and experience with powered industrial equipment
  • Strong organizational, documentation, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • High attention to detail
  • Ability to train and support team members on procedures and safety protocols
  • Proficiency in English required; additional languages a plus


Physical Requirements / Work Environment:

  • Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs
  • Ability to work in varying temperature-controlled environments
