In this key role, you'll ensure optimal equipment performance and maintenance while supporting continuous improvement in our manufacturing facilities. You'll resolve complex technical issues, coordinate preventive maintenance programs, and collaborate with engineering, production, and quality teams. Your expertise will directly impact the production of essential scientific and medical products used by researchers and healthcare professionals.
Responsibilities
- Sterile manufacturing equipment maintenance such as filling, autoclave and part washer.
- Participate in problem solving discussions with multi-functional team to identify/define root cause, evaluate alternative solutions, and develop action plans.
- Execute the routine maintenance for the production equipment, control systems, automated filling lines, packaging etc in a timely manner and in compliance with Engineering standards and safety procedures.
- Complete training provided timely to improve proficiencies.
- Contribute to team effort by achieving desired results/important metrics. Share Knowledge and mentor colleagues to build up their proficiencies.
- Manage third-party vendor who is contracted to perform routine preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance and any other maintenance related activity.
- Ensure all GMP documentation related to maintenance activities is completed accurately and processed to full completion in compliance to data integrity requirement.
- Carry out any other duties and responsibilities as assigned by supervisor, including but not limited to the above.
Requirements
- Preferred Fields of Study: Engineering, Electronics, or related field
- Preferably 6 years of relevant experience in manufacturing engineering, maintenance, or similar technical role
- Professional certifications in relevant technical areas preferred
- Strong knowledge of injection molding processes, tooling, and equipment maintenance
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and maintenance documentation
- Experience with calibration, preventive maintenance, and GMP/GEP compliance
- Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and repair complex mechanical, electrical, and automated systems
- Knowledge of quality systems and regulatory requirements (ISO, GMP)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for training and mentoring technicians
- Proficiency with maintenance management systems and Microsoft Office applications
- Experience with PLCs, control systems, and automated equipment preferred
- Ability to work rotating shifts and respond to emergency calls when needed
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in manufacturing environment
- Demonstrated commitment to safety protocols and procedures
- Strong organizational and time management skills
