Due to growth in the Capability Lifecycle Manager (CLCM) program an exciting opportunity is now available for a Lead Maintenance Planner based at Henderson WA. The Lead Maintenance Planner is accountable to the Senior Maintenance Manager for development and proactive management of maintenance requirements across the vessel’s lifecycle – underpinning the availability of the vessels to Navy.
Key Responsibilities
- Utilise planning tools to lead planning and prioritisation activities for MV Assets to achieve Seaworthiness Outcomes.
- Lead the team of maintenance planners.
- Develop the annual and five-year work plans for the MV program, ensuring the annual delivery cycle is maintained.
- Liaise with Regional Maintenance Centres for the planning and execution cycle of the maintenance program.
- Provide input to the MV Asset maintenance optimisation program through the use of continuous improvement toolsets.
- Manage and control maintenance documentation in authorised maintenance management information systems.
- Ensure all maintenance documentation is completed and certified in accordance with approved procedures and maintenance management information system requirements.
- Coordinate approved engineering change and adhoc inspections/maintenance activities.
- Action applicable maintenance policy amendments as required.
Skills, Experience and Qualifications:
- Possession of a Certificate IV in a relevant trade discipline (e.g., mechanical, electrical, or fabrication) is required to support technical understanding of maintenance operations and asset management.
- Relevant experience in leading teams
- Minimum of six years prior relevant experience
- Working knowledge and experience of maintenance management and planning system tools and processes.
- Relevant experience in maintenance planning in a defence or other highly regulated environment.
- An ability to gather, manipulate and analyse data to support data-based decision making for internal and external reporting.
- Ability to balance conflicting priorities to deliver against customer and business requirements, with appropriate stakeholder management.
- Ability to negotiate with and influence internal and/or external stakeholders in a way which generates business benefit whilst maintaining key relationships.
- Enable the Australian Defence Force to execute missions effectively
