Boeing Global Services (BGS) Distribution Business is looking for an Lead Planner (Level 4) to join our team in Hialeah, FL.

The Lead Planner is responsible for leading demand and supply planning activities for complex or high-impact customers and programs. This role drives forecast alignment, capacity planning, and risk mitigation strategies across cross-functional stakeholders including Sales, Product Line, Supplier Management, and Operations. The ideal individual will serve as the subject matter expert for planning processes, mentors planners, and leads the planning cadence to ensure proactive identification and resolution of supply and demand risks. This role also drives process improvements, enhances forecasting accuracy, and supports strategic decision-making through data-driven analysis.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Leads demand and supply planning strategy for assigned portfolio of customers, products, or programs.
  • Owns planning performance metrics including forecast accuracy, service levels, and inventory health for assigned scope.
  • Leads cross-functional demand and supply reconciliation process and drives alignment on forecast assumptions.
  • Identifies demand variability, supply constraints, and capacity risks; develops and drives mitigation strategies.
  • Serves as planning lead for complex, high-risk, or high-visibility programs.
  • Leads planning cadence meetings including demand reviews, supply reviews, and executive-level presentations.
  • Partners with Sales, Product Line, Supplier Management, and Operations to align on demand forecasts and supply plans.
  • Coaches and mentors planners on forecasting methodologies, stakeholder engagement, and planning best practices.
  • Establishes and standardizes planning processes, templates, and reporting across the team.
  • Drives development of scalable dashboards and reduces manual reporting through collaboration with Business Intelligence teams.
  • Performs scenario planning and sensitivity analysis to support decision-making under uncertainty.
  • Identifies systemic planning gaps and drives continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Serves as escalation point for planning-related risks and supports leadership with decision recommendations.
  • Supports workload balancing and planning prioritization across the team.
  • Prepares and delivers executive-ready presentations summarizing risks, opportunities, and planning performance.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

 
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 8+ years of experience in demand planning, supply planning, inventory management, or supply chain operations
  • Experience leading cross-functional planning activities across multiple stakeholders
  • Demonstrated ability to drive alignment and influence without direct authority
  • Strong analytical skills with experience analyzing large datasets and identifying demand patterns
  • Experience using forecasting methodologies and statistical analysis
  • Advanced Excel skills; experience with planning tools such as SAP, Blue Yonder, SPM, or equivalent
  • Ability to identify risks and develop mitigation strategies
  • Strong communication and presentation skills (written and verbal)
  • Experience leading planning cadence or operational reviews

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Experience mentoring or coaching planners
  • Experience driving process improvements in planning or supply chain operations
  • Experience supporting Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) or Integrated Business Planning (IBP)
  • Strong project management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience developing planning models or forecasting frameworks
  • Results-driven mindset with strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively across departments
  • Experience working with Business Intelligence tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.)

Summary pay range: $94,000 - $133,000
