The Role

Technical Leadership & Escalation Support

  • Provide technical guidance and escalation support to L1 and L2 Linux administrators.

  • Lead troubleshooting and resolution of complex system, network, and performance issues.

  • Ensure system reliability and high availability of critical ERP and infrastructure components.

  • Review and approve change requests, ensuring adherence to ITIL standards.

System Administration & Optimization

  • Plan, configure, and manage Oracle Linux environments including ERP integrations.

  • Implement and manage high-availability clusters and OCFS/ASM configurations.

  • Perform advanced OS tuning and capacity management as per OEM or best practices.

  • Lead patch management and upgrade strategies for all Linux servers.

  • Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for major and recurring incidents.

  • Develop and maintain infrastructure documentation (AS-IS, SOPs, Knowledge Base).

Automation, Security & Integration

  • Design and implement automation scripts (Shell, Python, Ansible) for routine operations.

  • Integrate ERP systems with SIEM for enhanced security and event management.

  • Manage and troubleshoot AD/LDAP integrations for Linux authentication.

  • Manage SSO, identity federation, and Azure/Linux integration scenarios where applicable.

  • Ensure compliance with security policies, hardening standards, and vulnerability remediation.

Disaster Recovery & Performance

  • Plan and execute Disaster Recovery (DR) drills, ensuring full system recoverability.

  • Maintain availability, capacity, and performance baselines.

  • Review repeated alerts and incidents to identify improvement areas.

Strategic Improvements

  • Drive continual service improvement (CSI) and infrastructure modernization initiatives.

  • Collaborate with architects and OEM vendors for solution optimization.

  • Provide inputs for capacity forecasting, resource planning, and automation frameworks.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise

  • 7+ years of hands-on experience in Oracle Linux Administration and ERP Infra management.

  • Strong knowledge of OCFS, Hypervisor management, NIC bonding, and ILO configuration.

  • Expertise in performance tuning, patch management, and system hardening.

  • Proven experience in root cause analysis, DR drills, and capacity planning.

  • Hands-on experience with automation and configuration tools (Shell scripting, Ansible, Python).

  • Strong understanding of AD/LDAP integration, ERP, and SIEM integration.

  • Familiarity with virtualization and cloud (Oracle Cloud / Azure / VMware) platforms.

  • Excellent leadership, documentation, and communication skills.
