Job Summary:

This role will be a subject matter expert for HR systems and tools. Leads initiatives needed to configure, maintain, and resolve issues or defects in a timely and efficient manner with exceptional customer service across the Workday ecosystem. Ensure data integrity and effective HR system utilization, and focus on data analysis, system administration, process improvement and data insights to meet the company’s organizational and operational business needs. Support in implementation of Global HRIS roadmap initiatives by executing on necessary project tasks and adhering to timelines and quality expectations. Collaborate with the HR Technology Leadership on strategic planning for HR systems.

Job Description:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES (other duties as assigned): • Leads initiatives needed to configure, maintain, and resolve issues or defects in a timely and efficient manner with exceptional customer service across the Workday ecosystem overseeing modules that include Absence, Benefits, Compensation, Advance Compensation, HCM, Recruiting, and Talent • Strong understanding of the touchpoints between modules and/or connections within Workday within each of the functional areas • Participates in the ongoing requirements gathering, design, configuration, testing, and deployment of reconfigured, or new functionality or modules. Understands the importance of change management to facilitate the transition to new technology and processes • Responsible for the successful implementation of new functionality and/or processes within project timelines • Effectively partners with teams including Absence, Benefits, Compensation, IT, HR, Talent and others to provide support, and to make recommendations needed to automate, standardize, and scale existing processes • Configures and maintains business processes and notifications where needed • Manage the setup, configuration data and structures within the functional area in Workday to drive efficiencies, analytics, processes, and configuration to business unit designs, reporting and analysis • Administer HR systems security and security controls to ensure appropriate access to functionality for users and monitor appropriate data security • Ensure systems quality and data accuracy via regular audits of data; adhere to all SOX controls for proper process and protocols • Develop and share complex custom reports and calculated fields for users, maximizing efficiency by reusing existing reports and training users on modifying reports as needed • Generate standard audit reports on daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, or annual basis • Assist users within HR as needed to enable them to utilize all HR systems more effectively • Supports semi-annual regression testing, and the review and implementation of optional features and upgrades • Support legal compliance reporting and requirements; develop and maintain reporting and compliance capabilities for EEO and AAP reporting requirements. • Responsible to create and validate EIB Mass loads for all functional areas including, compensations changes, acquisitions, absence override balances etc. • Responsible for running any manual integrations as necessary. • Ability to apply HR functional knowledge to the HRIS environment to improve business processes and procedures. • Support HRIS and department project managers in implementation of Global HRIS roadmap initiatives by executing on necessary project tasks and adhering to timelines and quality expectations • Manage small to medium size projects, including development of project plans, facilitating team meetings, and driving to successful completion of projects • Provide insight and recommendations on best practices for configuration of HCM system (Workday) and new HR tools and systems to meet identified business requirements • Estimate effort required for configuration, testing and support related to proposed enhancements or projects • Conduct unit testing for all configurations done as part of a project, and participate in user acceptance testing as a test coordinator • Must be comfortable and have demonstrated success performing multifaceted projects in conjunction with day-to-day activities in a high-energy environment • Serves as a backup resource to other coworkers to ensure coverage is maintained in HRIS, as identified on a periodic basis. SCOPE & IMPACT: This position supports all La-Z-Boy companies, domestic and international, ensuring accurate and complete data that impacts reporting of key information for the entire organization. Provides global support to HR technologies to ensure incidents are resolved and the system is properly configured. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business or related field with 6-8 years of related experience including 1-3 years of supervisory/leadership experience. • Minimum 3 to 5 years’ experience working with Workday and other HR applications, preferably in a global organization • Demonstrated successful project/process management experience • Demonstrated experience of Workday configuration through implementation and/or prototype stages, and ability to adapt quickly to learn new systems and processes through instruction and self-training a plus • Good organizational and time management skills. Proven record of setting delivery commitments and meeting expectations. • Proven experience administering multiple integrated HR systems • Familiarity with a variety of the HR concepts, practices, and procedures required • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel • Fundamental knowledge of position management as it relates to HR systems • Knowledge of database design, structure, functions, processes, and database tools • Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with experience dealing with employees, business partners, and cross functional team members. Able to effectively work autonomously and in a collaborative environment • Travel Required: 10% PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS: • MBA • Experience working within a Global HR environment highly desired • Background in Project Management • Crystal Reporting, Domo, Business Objects and other supporting systems with HR data SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: None PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT: Office environment/no specific or unusual physical or environmental demands.
