Job Description:

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Java Developer with a strong background in applications development, microservices architecture, and enterprise-level solutions. The ideal candidate will have 7+ years of hands-on coding experience and possess expertise in Java, Spring, Kafka, distributed systems, and cloud technologies. This role offers the opportunity to work on complex, high-impact projects within a regulated environment, contributing to innovative financial solutions and strategic initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable and robust applications using Java and Spring frameworks.
• Architect and implement microservices with an API-first approach using REST, WebSocket, and gRPC.
• Develop and optimize distributed systems, caching solutions (e.g., Apache Ignite), and NoSQL databases like MongoDB.
• Collaborate on cloud-native application development using Docker, Kubernetes, or OpenShift.
• Apply advanced design patterns and enterprise architecture principles to ensure scalable and maintainable systems.
• Lead technical assessments, troubleshoot complex issues, and implement effective solutions.
• Guide and mentor development teams to establish standards, improve workflows, and accelerate product delivery.
• Own production release planning, coordination, and smooth deployment.
• Conduct risk analysis, identify redundancies, and optimize existing operational systems.
• Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory requirements.
• Ensure compliance with governance policies and industry standards, while safeguarding firm reputation and assets.
• Liaise effectively with team members, management, and stakeholders to ensure project success.

Skills & Experience:

• 7+ years of proven experience in Java software development, with a strong coding background.
• Deep knowledge of Spring framework, Kafka, and distributed caching systems like Apache Ignite.
• Experience with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB is preferred.
• Familiarity with Python programming is a plus.
• Extensive exposure to microservices architecture and API-centric design.
• Practical experience with cloud platforms such as Docker, Kubernetes, or OpenShift.
• Strong understanding of design patterns, enterprise architecture, and best practices.
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Effective verbal and written communication abilities.
• Proven capability to work independently and collaboratively within teams.
• Strong organizational, project management, and multi-tasking skills.
• UI technology knowledge is an advantage.
• Business domain knowledge of CVA, XVA, and regulatory stress testing is preferred.
• Ability to lead technical initiatives and ensure alignment with architecture blueprints.
• Adept at risk assessment, compliance, and industry standard practices.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 7+ years of experience in Java development and application design.
• Proven track record in delivering enterprise-level solutions in financial or regulated environments.
