Lead Field Implementation Manager - Invitae

Labcorp is seeking a remote Lead Field Implementation Manager - Invitae to join our team!

Job Responsibilities:

Strategic Program Leadership

  • Lead high complexity, multi‑system clinical program implementations across regional Health System and Clinic clients, requiring 50–75% travel to support enterprise level‑level deployment and optimization.

  • Serve as the primary implementation lead for GIA, Portal+, and complex EMR integration initiatives, ensuring alignment with client strategy, operational objectives, and organizational readiness.

Clinical Workflow, EHR Integration & Operational Optimization

  • Conduct advanced assessments of client needs, clinical workflows, and system capabilities to design and implement data driven‑driven, scalable integration strategies across diverse healthcare environments.

  • Oversee or support critical phases of implementation—including discovery, workflow redesign, testing, launch, and stabilization—ensuring solutions meet clinical, operational, and compliance standards.

  • Provide analytical insights to refine healthcare processes, identify variance across sites, and drive continuous improvement in clinical throughput and patient identification workflows.

Stakeholder Management, Executive Influence & Education

  • While onsite, work to manage expectations and communication with client users such as program and integration stakeholders, including clinical leaders to support delivery of strategic updates, risk assessments, and performance insights.

  • Educate client teams on program workflows, compliance requirements, and operational best practices to ensure sustainable adoption and measurable outcome improvement.

  • Act as a SME to internal teams (HSS, Product, Marketing, Commercial, Clinical, S3), ensuring alignment across functions and championing enterprise wide‑wide consistency.

Program Performance, Metrics & Continuous Improvement

  • Own postimplementation performance by monitoring KPIs, utilization‑implementation performance by monitoring KPIs, utilization trends, and operational outcomes; use data driven‑driven analysis to identify improvement opportunities and ensure long term‑term value realization.

  • Support HSS Director & Sales in QBR preparation and delivery, presenting performance insights and recommendations to clients and internal leaders until a successful transition to account management

  • Ensure ongoing optimization and issue resolution to maintain program quality, client satisfaction, and compliance.

Process Leadership, Best Practices & Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Alongside HSS Directors, develop and enhance implementation frameworks, workflows, and procedures to support scalability, quality, and consistency across health system deployments.

  • Collaborate with Product and Marketing teams to capture voice-of‑customer insights, identify feature and programmatic enhancement opportunities, and support ‑customer insights, identify feature and programmatic enhancement opportunities, and support long‑term solution development.

  • Partner across Invitae and Labcorp functional teams to ensure integrated, high quality‑quality execution and continuous operational improvement.

Training, Mentorship & Team Leadership

  • Mentor SDEs, SAMs and new FIMs and provide field-based training to Invitae‑based training to employees for implementation strategy, workflow optimization, and compliance.

  • Contribute to internal working groups and improvement initiatives, helping to advance organizational knowledge and elevate implementation standards across the enterprise.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required

  • 5+ years of experience in project management, clinical program implementation, healthcare technology deployment, SaaS onboarding, or related operational roles within complex healthcare organizations.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Lean Six Sigma or Project Management Certifications

  • 1 year of SaaS onboarding

  • 2 years of Hereditary Cancer or Rate Disease diagnostics experience


Additional Job Standards:

  • Advanced training or education in healthcare, business, informatics, or project management strongly demonstrated experience leading multifaceted implementation initiatives, including workflow assessment, solution configuration, stakeholder alignment, and change management.

  • Solid understanding of the healthcare delivery environment, including provider workflows, clinic operations, and health system dynamics.

  • High proficiency with Microsoft Office, database concepts, and modern web technologies; ability to interpret and apply data insights to guide implementation decisions.

  • Understanding of software development processes, clinical informatics workflows, and system integration principles; ability to translate clinical needs into functional and technical requirements.

  • Knowledge of genetics, oncology, hereditary risk assessment, or related clinical testing domains, with experience supporting the adoption of genetic testing or precision medicine programs in healthcare organizations.

  • Proven experience collaborating with physicians, nursing leadership, clinical staff, operational executives, and IT teams, with the ability to influence decision making‑making across multidisciplinary groups.

  • Demonstrated leadership experience, including guiding cross functional‑functional teams, mentoring peers, and contributing to organizational best practices in high complexity healthcare or ‑complexity healthcare or health‑tech environments.

  • Exceptionally organized and able to manage multiple concurrent initiatives in fast paced, ‑paced, cross‑functional settings.

  • Strong analytical thinking and advanced problem solving‑solving skills, with the ability to anticipate barriers and implement effective solutions.

  • Excellent communicator and collaborator, able to engage credibly with healthcare providers, clinical staff, operational leaders, and executives.

  • Skilled at motivating teams, navigating conflicts, and driving alignment across diverse stakeholder groups.

  • Ability to maintain deep and current knowledge of Invitae’s product ecosystem, market landscape, and competitive environment to support client success and strategic decision making‑making

The Field Implementation Manager is responsible for implementing enterprise‑wide adoption of advanced clinical workflows, programmatic risk‑assessment models, and complex EHR integrations across newly onboarded Health System and Specialty Medicine clients. The role leads high‑complexity, multi‑system deployments that shape clinical efficiency, patient‑identification workflows, and downstream operational and revenue performance.

Partnering with the HSS Director, Commercial leadership, and cross‑functional technical and clinical teams, the FIM oversees onboarding, customization, integration, and program performance nationally. The role drives organizational readiness and workflow redesign while aligning stakeholders to achieve measurable operational, clinical and patient outcomes.

Using strong strategic and analytical expertise, the FIM leverages data‑driven insights to refine clinical processes, optimize program operations, and identify systemic improvement opportunities across diverse healthcare environments. The role also ensures adherence to compliance requirements and best practices, guiding teams to maintain clinical guidelines, regulatory, and operational standards through every phase of implementation.

Operating with substantial autonomy, defining implementation frameworks, training cross‑functional teams, and developing scalable solutions suited for complex health systems and specialty practices. As a key member of the Invitae Commercial Organization, the FIM ensures every implementation delivers sustained enterprise value, accelerates adoption, and strengthens long‑term customer partnerships.

Pay Range $100,000 - $120,000 annually + annual bonus eligibility.

All job offers will be based on a candidate’s skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data. The position is also eligible for an annual bonus under the Labcorp Bonus Plan. Bonuses are payable based on corporate and/or business segment performance and are subject to individual performance modifiers.
