We work collaboratively with the Victorian State Government to ensure we fulfill regulatory requirements, deliver State projects and safeguard customer data. The Victorian State Government retains sole responsibility for road access, infrastructure and safety.

We are seeking a talented and driven individual to join our dynamic Technology Operations team. About the Opportunity 

As a Lead EUC Engineer at VicRoads, you will be responsible for engineering, managing, and optimising our end-user computing (EUC) environment to deliver secure, seamless, and modern technology experiences for employees. This role spans modern device management, application packaging, patching, security uplift, and continuous improvement initiatives that enhance productivity and reliability.

You’ll lead technical operations across EUC and AV environments, ensuring consistency and performance through lifecycle management, automation, and modern management practices. Working closely with Cybersecurity and Risk teams, you’ll strengthen compliance and security posture while acting as the technical escalation point for complex issues.

Beyond operations, you’ll represent EUC in enterprise projects, collaborate with stakeholders and vendors, and drive innovation through process optimisation and emerging technologies. As a leader, you’ll guide and develop team members, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.


About you 
 

You’re a seasoned EUC Engineer with deep technical expertise and a passion for delivering secure, seamless, and modern technology experiences. You thrive in environments that value innovation, automation, and continuous improvement, and you bring strong leadership skills to guide and uplift technical teams.

You’ll thrive in this role if you:


• Have 5+ years’ experience in EUC engineering, with proven capability across Windows, MacOS, and Android environments.
• Possess advanced knowledge of Microsoft Intune, Autopilot, Azure AD, Windows security, patching, and compliance frameworks.
• Are highly skilled in scripting and automation (e.g., PowerShell) to improve operational efficiency and reduce manual effort.
• Have experience leading small technical teams or mentoring engineers, fostering capability uplift and knowledge sharing.
• Understand modern device management principles, zero-touch provisioning, and self-service enablement.
• Communicate effectively and collaborate across teams to deliver enterprise-wide technology initiatives.
• Are proactive in identifying opportunities to improve EUC performance, reliability, and user experience.

Desirable:
• Familiarity with ITIL practices and enterprise service management platforms such as ServiceNow.
• Exposure to AV technologies and integration within workplace environments.
• Experience contributing to enterprise projects and collaborating with cross-functional teams and vendors.
• Microsoft certifications in Endpoint Management, Security, or Modern Desktop Administrator.
• Certifications in IT service management (e.g., ITIL Foundation) or cloud platforms (e.g., Azure Fundamentals).
