First American is seeking a Lead Escrow Disbursement Coordinator to support escrow branch operations and ensure the timely and accurate disbursement of funds for closed transactions. In this role, you will review and prepare closing files for disbursement, confirm file balances, and execute disbursements in accordance with established instructions. Responsibilities include issuing wires and checks, printing and distributing closing documents such as final HUDs and cover letters, and partnering with escrow officers, lenders, and buyers to resolve discrepancies and finalize transactions. This position plays a critical role in delivering a seamless and compliant closing experience for the New York National Commercial Services team.

How You’ll Contribute:

  • Serve as a subject matter expert and resource to the team, resolving complex issues using sound judgment and best practices  
  • Review, balance, and disburse escrow files, including issuing checks and preparing wires in accordance with instructions  
  • Prepare and distribute closing documents, final HUDs, and related correspondence to appropriate parties  
  • Partner with lenders, buyers, and escrow officers to reconcile discrepancies and ensure accurate file completion  
  • Manage daily financial activities including deposits, billing, wire reconciliation, and accounting reports  
  • Provide responsive customer service, support operational needs, and guide team members on problem resolution  

What You’ll Bring:

  • High School diploma or equivalent  
  • 6+ years of banking and/or escrow experience strongly preferred  
  • Strong leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities  
  • Working knowledge of escrow processes, settlement statements (HUDs), and basic accounting principles  
  • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office and escrow-related systems; ability to perform accurate data entry  
  • Ability to interpret instructions, analyze financial information, and resolve practical problems in dynamic situations  
  • Effective communication and customer service skills with a collaborative, team-oriented approach  
  • Detail-oriented with solid analytical abilities and emerging leadership capability  

Pay Range: $29.30 - $39.07 Hourly

 

This hiring range is a reasonable estimate of the base pay range for this position at the time of posting. Pay is based on a number of factors which may include job-related knowledge, skills, experience, business requirements and geographic location.
