Lead Enterprise Architect
The Lead Enterprise Architect is responsible for designing and implementing the enterprise architecture strategy, roadmap and architecture solutions which is aligned to IT principles, strategy and business goals. This role involves development of Enterprise architecture frameworks, standards, and governance process which enables digital transformation initiatives architecture solution to be scalable, resilient, reliable with no tech debt and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. The ideal candidate possesses strong enterprise and solution architecture experience with ability collaborate effectively with country specific solution architects as well as regional architects to achieve consensus in driving architecture and technology initiatives.
Position Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain the architecture target state, roadmap, ensuring alignment with business objectives and regulatory requirements
Interprets and applies enterprise architecture standards, frameworks and policies to inform a broad range of business improvement activities, including those relating to the design, development, and maintenance of IT systems and technologies
Lead and mentor a team of architects and IT professionals, fostering a collaborative and innovative environment
Collaborate with business leaders and IT leaders to communicate critical information about the organization's architecture and technology landscape
Collaborates with engineering teams, delivery, business partners and data governance team to provide leading architecture solutions
Collaborates with project leaders and IT Leaders to ensure progress towards architectural alignment with project goals and requirements
Ensure all architectural solutions are reliable, resilient and comply with local Insurance regulations and standards
Champion and research emerging technology such as AI and blockchain, industry, and market trends to assist in product development and/or operational support activities to improve operational efficiency and customer satisfaction
Identify and mitigate risks associated with IT systems and architecture
Required Qualifications:
Minimum 10 years of experience in architecture roles, with at least 3 years as enterprise architect position
Bachelor’s/ master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field
Extensive experience in enterprise architecture, preferably within the insurance industry
Ability to lead and inspire teams, manage conflicts, and drive consensus
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with stakeholders at all levels
Commitment to improving customer experience through innovative IT solutions
Expertise in large or complex system integration projects
Expertise in crafting architecture plans to support business outcomes
Commercial awareness to understand market context and pressures, business requirements, competitive positioning, and the market context
Experience in Application Design and Management
Experience knowledge of data architecture, data governance, security, and analytics
Understanding of Application, Data, Infrastructure, and cybersecurity principles and practices
Relevant certifications such as TOGAF/ Zachman, ITIL, Azure/AWS Certified Solutions Architect are an asset
