Lead Enterprise Architect, Enterprise API and Integration is an important role in leading the technology transformation efforts focused on defining the architecture, standards and governance for API development across the enterprise. T
This position is remote; however, we will expect you to work according to Eastern Standard Time or Central Standard Time.
The Lead Enterprise Architect brings together providers and consumers of enterprise API through the development of a comprehensive business-focused enterprise catalog. This catalog includes services, interfaces/interactions, and leads the life cycle management and governance of enterprise APIs.
Job Responsibilities
- Articulate, create and promote Enterprise API logical architecture and patterns including any interim/transition states.
- Collaborate and guide architecture patterns, enterprise platform adoption across multiple cross functional teams forwarding EAI strategy.
- Build AI agents and automation frameworks that strengthen API governance, helps creations of AI ready APIs, detects/resolves gaps, and accelerates lifecycle quality.
- Drive governance standards adoption across the enterprise by partnering with architecture, engineering, security, data, and business teams to apply reusable API patterns and guide alignment with the enterprise API strategy.
- Research, establish and champion guardrails, standards and governance of APIs following evolving Agentic needs across the enterprise.
- Influence teams to apply API governance through architecture reviews, governance forums, and technical leadership—driving measurable outcomes in conformance, consistency, reuse, operational efficiency and platform-first thinking.
- Evolve of APIs – compliance to standards, performance etc by partnering and suggesting improvements for API owners throughout the enterprise.
- Create strategies, guide enterprise initiatives & roadmap for governance across multiple streams along with proposing and displaying relevant executive metrics, presentations and analytics
- Lead engineering of shared/platform capabilities to allow federated Enterprise API development
- Architect analytics ecosystems and lead program governance/development of executive governance dashboards including adoption metrics, conformance, lifecycle maturity, and platform usage insights.
- Deliver executive-level presentations showcasing KPI trends, API ecosystem, and enterprise‑wide integration outcomes.
- Coach architects and engineering teams in modern API design, event-driven architectures, integration best practices, and Agile product engineering.
- Improve engineering velocity, scalability, quality, and API ecosystem maturity.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field
- Progressive experience as a senior architect or technical lead in large IT projects spanning multiple enterprise systems
- 10+ years in design, architecture, development, and testing of APIs, integrations, or software applications.
- Demonstrated experience implementing API standards, governance frameworks, modernization programs or API management platforms.
- Passion for innovation and improving consumer-facing and developer-facing experiences.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's Degree.
- Experience establishing enterprise API programs, governance frameworks, or platform capabilities.

Pay Range
The compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.
$142,300 - $195,700 per year
This job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan. This incentive opportunity is based upon company and/or individual performance.
