About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Engineer to drive the design and development of service-domain architectures for enterprise-scale applications. This role is hands-on and requires strong expertise in TypeScript (Node.js), cloud‑native engineering, and microservices best practices. You will help shape technical direction, mentor engineering teams, and ensure solution excellence within a regulated financial services environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development of scalable, secure, and reliable microservices within a defined service domain using TypeScript (Node.js).
- Implement cloud‑native solutions on AWS, including Lambda, Aurora PostgreSQL, and MSK (Kafka).
- Collaborate with architects, product managers, and engineering teams to translate business requirements into robust technical designs.
- Drive engineering best practices such as CI/CD (GitHub Actions), automated testing, code quality, and performance optimization.
- Mentor and guide team members to uplift technical capability and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
- Participate in architectural reviews, solution designs, and contribute to engineering roadmaps aligned with organizational standards.
- Ensure compliance with security, regulatory requirements, and data privacy standards.
- Work within Agile/Scrum delivery frameworks to support iterative, high‑quality development cycles.

Required Qualifications & Skills
- 8+ years of experience in software engineering, with 2–3 years in a lead role.
- Strong experience in microservices architecture, REST APIs, and service domain design.
- Hands-on expertise in TypeScript (Node.js) and/or .NET Core.
- Solid understanding of AWS services, particularly serverless architectures.
- Experience with event-driven systems and asynchronous messaging (Kafka preferred).
- Familiarity with CI/CD automation and DevOps engineering practices.
- Prior experience in Agile/Scrum environments; exposure to financial services is a plus.
- Good understanding of Domain-Driven Design (DDD) and modern architectural patterns.
- Exposure to frontend frameworks using TypeScript is advantageous.
