Pune - Margarpatta Full time

Job Description:

Job Title: Lead Engineer IPP

Location: Pune, India

Corporate Title: Vice President

Role Description

  • As a Lead Engineer in the team, you will develop and enhance applications that enable securities and tax processing across national and international markets, supporting Deutsche Bank business units on one of Germany’s highest-volume processing platforms (processing more than 20 million transactions per year).
  • The applications you develop support critical post-trade workflows, including order management for funds, securities settlement, and associated event and income processing, as well as custody and asset servicing processes (including general meetings support, safekeeping, and custody operations). This includes analysing new requirements, supporting business analysts in defining reusable specifications, and ensuring solution designs align with industry best practices and internal engineering standards, with a focus on scalability, availability, maintainability, and flexibility. When application issues arise, you will investigate root causes and implement timely mitigations to minimise impact.
  • In addition to your application-focused responsibilities, as a Lead Engineer, you will help with improving engineering capability in close collaboration with architects and the engineering management. This might include defining engineering best practices and helping in rolling these out to the engineering population.
