Job Description Summary

We are looking for a Lead Engineer to lead and participate in engineering work related to our installed base of GE Patient Monitors. This is a one year fixed term position at our location in Helsinki, Finland. This work includes various design, maintenance and sustainability tasks related to patient monitors and related parameters modules.

Job Description

Essential Responsibilities

  • Working on product changes for general maintenance activities.

  • Working on specifications, design, prototyping, evaluating and testing.

  • Create test plans, conducts testing and create reports on results.

  • Collaborate with suppliers, manufacturing, and other cross-functions.

  • Perform root cause analysis to support complaint investigations.

  • Create Life Cycle Analyses (LCA).

  • Represent subject matter expert role for Sustainability and LCA.

Qualifications / Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Materials Engineering, Sustainable Materials, or similar)

  • Experience in utilization of basic engineering tools and LCA tools.

  • Some understanding in general laboratory work and related measurement devices.

  • Fluency in English, both spoken and written.

  • EU work permit.

  • Working location Helsinki, Finland

Desired Characteristics

  • Experience in working in regulated industry under quality management system.

  • Basic understanding of lifecycle and maintenance activities for Patient Monitors.

  • Experience in Patient Monitors.

  • Basic understanding of clinical parameters.
