The Opportunity

Within the capacity of Lead Employee Relations Consultant (P50), you will operate as a high-level strategic advisor, problem-solver, and thought partner to leaders across Adobe. You will independently navigate the most critical, complex, and high visibility employee relations matters—including sensitive investigations, complex performance issues, conduct matters, conflict resolution, and escalations—while influencing leaders toward business-aligned, ethically grounded decisions!

You will shape organizational health by anticipating risks, synthesizing insights across regions, and driving proactive strategies that help leaders build resilient, engaged, and inclusive teams. You will partner closely with HR Business Partners, Employment Counsel, Employee Experience Centers of Excellence, and ER Managers to accelerate decision-making, elevate ER thinking, and ensure consistent outcomes that reinforce Adobe’s values.

This role is ideal for an expert who is as comfortable briefing executives as leading an investigation, and who can balance strategic foresight with operational excellence!

What you'll Do

Strategic Business Partnership & Organizational Enablement

  • Act as an experienced advisor to leaders, influencing decision making and proactively identifying people related risks, patterns, and opportunities for healthier team environments.
  • Translate business strategy into tailored ER approaches that reinforce accountability, improve team efficiency, and drive positive organizational outcomes.
  • Coach leaders through complex people challenges, building their capability to lead with clarity, fairness, consistency, and cultural alignment.
  • Partner with HRBPs and leadership groups regarding organizational themes, early warning signs, and workforce health indicators, enabling proactive interventions and scalable solutions.

2. Leadership of High Complexity Casework & Investigations

  • Lead sensitive, detailed, and high stakes workplace investigations, ensuring high-quality analysis, objectivity, thoroughness, and compliant processes.
  • Provide direction, guidance, and quality review on case strategy, documentation, findings, and recommendations.
  • Address the most intricate performance management and conduct matters, offering strategic recommendations rooted in risk assessment, cultural alignment, and business impact.
  • De-escalate issues that arise within the ecosystem.

3. Reorganizations & Workforce Transformation

  • Partner with leaders and HRBPs to guide the people related execution of reorganizations, team restructures, role changes, and other workforce transitions.
  • Advise on communication strategies, sequencing, change readiness, team impacts, and risk factors.
  • Identify root causes of organizational friction and develop ER strategies that support smoother transitions and long-term organizational effectiveness.
  • Ensure consistency of approach across regions while respecting local nuance.

4. Proactive ER Strategies & Organizational Health Insights

  • Analyze case trends, workplace dynamics, and team health indicators to deliver actionable insights, and partner with business and PX leadership to recommend proactive strategies—such as training, manager enablement, and process or behavior changes—to reduce risk and strengthen culture.
  • Partner with EWX and ELR leadership to activate priorities such as manager capability uplift, governance & documentation improvements, and scalable ER standards.
  • Lead continuous improvement efforts that simplify processes, strengthen decision quality, and reinforce global consistency.

5. Coaching, Influence & Thought Leadership

  • Serve in a senior ER capacity on cross‑functional initiatives, partnering closely with Legal, Security, HR Operations, PX, and Centers of Excellence.
  • Lead and participate in Americas and global ER projects, promoting regional alignment and uniformity in processes, communication standards, governance, and partner engagement while supporting scalable, adaptable solutions.

6. Cross Functional Leadership

  • Function as a senior ER representative on cross-functional initiatives, collaborating closely with Legal, Security, HR Operations, PX, and Centers of Excellence.
  • Lead and contribute to Americas and global ER projects, driving regional alignment and consistency in processes, communication standards, governance, and partner engagement while enabling scalable, adaptable solutions.

  • Deep expertise navigating high complexity ER matters across investigations, conduct, conflict, and performance.
  • Strong business insight and ability to align ER guidance to organizational objectives and business realities.
  • Exceptional judgment, analytical skills, and integrated thinking; ability to anticipate issues and shape early interventions.
  • Demonstrated success influencing leaders at multiple levels and driving outcomes in a global matrix environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, including the ability to produce concise, executive ready summaries and high quality investigation documentation.
  • Ability to coach others, uplift team capability, and drive consistent, values aligned outcomes.
  • Experience partnering with cross functional teams on organizational change, de-escalation, governance, and critical initiatives.

Expected Pay Range:

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several  U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this position is $126,100 -- $256,450 annually. Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for the job location during the hiring process.

 

In California, the pay range for this position is $177,100 - $256,450

At Adobe, for sales roles starting salaries are expressed as total target compensation (TTC = base + commission), and short-term incentives are in the form of sales commission plans.  Non-sales roles starting salaries are expressed as base salary and short-term incentives are in the form of the Annual Incentive Plan (AIP).

In addition, certain roles may be eligible for long-term incentives in the form of a new hire equity award.
