Busy Bees at Burpengary East is seeking a passionate and experienced Lead Educator to join our dedicated team. This is an exciting opportunity for an educator who is committed to delivering high-quality early childhood education and leading a room with confidence and care.
Busy Bees at Burpengary East is a welcoming early learning service located in Burpengary East. Our centre provides a nurturing and stimulating environment where children feel safe, supported, and inspired to learn through play.
As a Lead Educator, you will be responsible for guiding the learning and development within your room while supporting and mentoring other educators. You will work closely with the leadership team to deliver engaging programs aligned with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF).
Key responsibilities include:
Leading the planning and implementation of engaging educational programs
Supporting children’s development through play-based learning
Observing, documenting, and assessing children’s learning
Building positive relationships with children, families, and the team
Mentoring and supporting educators within the room
Ensuring compliance with the National Quality Framework (NQF) and centre policies
Maintaining a safe, inclusive, and welcoming learning environment
What We’re Looking For
Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (or working towards)
Current QLD Blue Card (Working with Children Check) or willingness to obtain
Strong understanding of the EYLF and National Quality Standards (NQS)
Previous experience as a Lead Educator or Room Leader (desirable)
Excellent communication and leadership skills
A genuine passion for early childhood education
