Key Responsibilities:
Program Ownership:
Develop, implement, and manage dock door and dock leveler maintenance programs.
Create preventive maintenance schedules and ensure consistent execution.
Maintain documentation of service records, inspections, and repairs.
Technical Expertise:
Perform commercial and industrial maintenance and repairs on overhead doors and dock leveling systems.
Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
Conduct inspections and ensure systems meet operational and safety standards.
Leadership & Support:
Serve as the primary point of contact for dock door-related issues.
Train and support technicians or maintenance staff as needed.
Collaborate with operations and facilities teams to prioritize and schedule repairs.
Safety & Compliance:
Work from ladders, scaffolding, and aerial lifts while adhering to PPE and fall protection requirements.
Ensure all work complies with company safety policies and OSHA standards.
Qualifications:
Proven experience installing, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining commercial overhead steel doors and dock levelers.
Strong working knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems.
Welding and fabrication experience is a plus.
Must own a complete set of tools required for the role.
Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and work in physically demanding environments.
Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Willingness to travel as needed.
Complete all required C&W Safety Training as scheduled annually
Comply with C&W Uniform Dress Code while working and maintain a neat and clean appearance while on the property at times other than working hours

IMPORTANT EDUCATION
• High School Diploma of GED Equivalent
• Graduate of apprentice program or trade school preferred
IMPORTANT EXPERIENCE
• 5+ years of related work experience in operating mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems in a commercial property setting
ADDITIONAL ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS
• Appropriate license/permit for trade as may be required, i.e. Journeyman or Master Electrician License or City Licenses, such as Refrigeration Certificate of Fitness, High Pressure Boiler License, High Pressure Steam Operator, etc.)
• May be required to have certification as a Universal Technician for CFC’s depending on market licensure requirements
• Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and good driving record with periodic checks (where applicable)
• Basic Computing Skills in Outlook, Excel & Word
• Experience in operation, maintenance and basic repair of HVAC, boilers, heaters, pumps, refrigerant systems, compressors, water systems, etc.
• Knowledgeable in energy management systems, techniques and operations.
• Thorough knowledge in all building systems operations, maintenance and repair.
