Job Summary:

Leads team members of diagnostic support services by demonstrating advance knowledge of job responsibilities.

Job Description:

The Lead - Diagnostic Support Services provides day-to-day leadership and support to team members while ensuring efficient operations, high-quality service delivery, and alignment with organizational goals. This role serves as a subject matter expert and resource, promoting teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement within the department.

Responsibilities:

  • Assists with the development, implementation, and evaluation of departmental policies and procedures.
  • Provides mentoring, monitoring, coaching, and evaluation of team members’ performance, with a focus on productivity and quality management.
  • Serves as a positive role model by fostering teamwork, collaboration, and a supportive work environment.
  • Assists with coordinating services, prioritizing assignments, and managing workflow to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Promotes situational decision-making and problem-solving to address day-to-day challenges.
  • Performs core responsibilities of the Patient Scheduling Representative role, including scheduling and patient support functions.
  • Completes charge entry and correction, billing reconciliation, and internal auditing tasks.
  • Provides guidance to team members and assists in resolving complex or escalated issues.
  • Supports continuous improvement initiatives and adherence to organizational policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in patient scheduling, healthcare support services, or a related role required.
  • Previous leadership or lead experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of scheduling systems, billing processes, and healthcare operations preferred.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and support a team in a fast-paced environment.
